Access Self Storage Islington

Poor. Multiple times I felt I was misled by information on the website or in the quote via email. One is related to 24/7 access (which turns out is only included if you choose their much more expensive packages), the other about weekly payments (only monthly payments are actually allowed, although they ‘show’ the weekly equivalent). Of course in the dark depths of the T&Cs it’s all there, but clearly an immense amount of time has been spent by the company to draw attention to their service offering in clickbait form to toe the line where customers can easily misconstrue the offering without the company getting into legal trouble for misleading.

Received 4 emails with links for me to upload my personal ID related documentation ahead of check-in. None worked. Received 3 phone calls with 1 from central customer services, and 2 from the branch itself. All stating conflicting information. So after wasting my time like this, they still had the gall to hurry me in a rude manner to get to the office 1hr before closing so we have time to go through paperwork and do the check in. If I would’ve not been I’m such a rush to deposit my items, I would’ve taken my business to another self storage supplier right there and then.

Their systems weren’t working properly on check in, so things took longer.

Then to cap it all off, after checking in and depositing my things in my locker, the lifts were not working to go to the ground floor. A misleading sign implied I shouldn’t be using the lift to go down without any items. I could barely find my way out through alternative paths / emergency exits because of loud red signs warning me I’ll be subject to a fine if I open emergency door.

Horrible, horrible experience all round.

Very helpful and friendly staff, easy to access facility. If you need boxes/padlock/tape etc. you can buy it all on site. Would definitely recommend.

The front desk team were great and went out of their way to help us on several occasions. We were using the space during a particularly intense house move and so their support and professionalism made this stressful experience a lot easier to handle. Having access to a shop with additional packing materials on site was also very useful. They also recommended a removals company who were outstanding and having someone trusted who knew the site made a big difference for us. Would 100% recommend.

Access Self Storage is a really great service! Very good value for money, particularly if only staying for a few weeks as the first two months are discounted. During opening yours you can visit your unit for whatever reason which has been really handy. Finally, the staff are extremely personable and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

I can only describe the team at Islington as honest friendly and very welcoming. They’re quick to respond to emails and will do their best for the customer especially Robert and Martin
