As homeowners we could not be happier with Under the Doormat. They genuinely look after your home as if it was theirs. They meticulously check the house after every visit to ensure that nothing has been damaged or tampered with. Their sense of maintenance in terms of cleaning, repairing and upkeep is immpecable. The biggest compliment though is that we don't even know when guests come and go. That's because Under the Doormat look after everything from booking to post cleaning and everything inbetween. Their homeowner team are lovely and very responsive. Would I recommend Under the Doormat, most definitely yes!

Excellent service and communication. Found us somewhere to rent at the last minute. James was particularly helpful with any problems and even arranged for our post to be sent to our new address when we moved. Would not hesitate in recommending this company.

My first negative review ever. Ready? A very terrible experience occurred @ their 1b Sutherland Street property. EXTREMELY filthy flat, long hairs everywhere infused with the carpet & furniture 🤢 I took so many pics + videos, couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Stains on the sheets, etc. Check in lady was present & literally handed me the vacuum to clean it myself…which I did. Unreal. Imagine, £500 p/night for this. Shameful. I was suppose to stay for 5 nights but only stayed until the next morning….I suffered with their plastic bed pillows and Thomas the Tank Engine train track sounds outside - forfeited my reservation…predictable customer service, gaslighting me saying I needed to calm down…yea: after a 9hr flight nobody would accept such disregard for the only thing that really matters in hospitality: cleanliness!

Price is what you pay, value is what you get. Don’t stay here if you actually plan on sleeping.
For the price I paid I was expecting a lot more when compared to other accommodation in the area. I can’t sit up straight in the bath, couch is uneven and caves in, bed is not comfortable, I actually tried sleeping on the floor last night. And I’ve purchased sleeping pills to sleep tonight due to noise.
The receptionist is lovely and trying to accommodated me and I must say is trying her best which I appreciate but I would not recommend anyone stay here as it’s not worth it. I haven’t slept in 3 days and I can’t get a refund which they refuse for about her 6 night. They’re meant to be selling overnight accommodation and I can’t even sleep

As an owner, I have been working with Under The Doormat for several months now and I am very happy about its service. The staff is always polite, they never delay in answering our queries, payments are regularly made and we feel like our flat is in safe hands.

Abysmal. Offered shower at gym instead of fixing hot water.

Freezing January, -5C at night, house poorly insulated, had to use two blankets sitting on the sofa at night just to stop shivering, terrible night's sleep, shower the next morning ran hot and cold. We left the property and called to ask for a refund or alternative local property. They point blank refused a refund before even investigating, then sent a handyman two days later who checked the temperature of the radiator (not the room) and the sink and bath (not the shower), declared it habitable, and they refused any compensation whatsoever. Their proposed solution was extra blankets, heaters, and to shower in a local gym. I honestly had to check that they weren't joking. Now disputing the charge through my credit card company and if required will take through small claims as I cannot afford to lose £1,000 on literally nothing. They are clearly on the side of the homeowners and not their customer. Avoid like the plague.

It was a pleasure working, as a homeowner, with Under the Doormat . The place was pretty much fully booked at a decent price. They are great at keeping in touch and always reply promptly to any concerns. They are meticulous about keeping an eye on the property and it’s contents and we felt we could absolutely trust them with our home. The key system worked well and we had complete confidence in the standards and honesty of anyone involved with the company.
Thanks to Covid we have had to suspend our holiday rentals for the time being but would definitely come back to Under The Doormat if things change in the future.

UnderTheDoormat is an incredibly friendly, professional, organised and discreet home letting company. Its cleaning services are second to none, absolutely amazing! What I loved most is on your return there was no sense anyone had stayed in your home. Best agency ever. Highly recommended!
