1692 Wasdale. A Place to Stay in the Wasdale Valley

Stayed for 3 nights with our two dogs. Had a lovely warm welcome by the team. Rooms are spectacular with views as far as the Isle Of Man. Honesty bar is a lovely touch, hot tub was welcome after days of walking. Breakfast was perfect. Can’t wait to come back!

We stayed here in May '22 for the second time, spending 2 nights. The overall experience was outstanding. We stayed in the Fells suite, which was beautiful, bathroom to die for, comfy beds and stylish, luxury decor.
We ate in both nights as the food is as good as any restaurant, complements to Marie. We are working our way through the menu. All the staff are friendly and helpful, Imogen, Lauren & Luke were attentive and we loved the breakfasts. Faith, who runs the place is onsite most of the time.
We tried out the lovely hot tub with it's superb view of the Wasdale peaks. We will definately be coming here again for a combination of fell walking and relaxation.

Easily one of the best bed and breakfasts in the lake District and dare I say the UK. The team there are accommodating with a mixture of relaxed friendly atmosphere and a high level of polish and professionalism. Whether you are there for the weekend or the week I am confident in saying you will treat it as your home away from home by the end of the stay and wish you didn't have to leave!
If you are considering then get it booked in, you won't regret it.

Faith was an excellent host and her entire team did a great job. Explained the area, gave great recommendations. We have been all over this world and without a doubt, this property is top 2, if not the best! And that is saying alot. It's that fantastic. We stayed in the Cairn room and it was immaculate!

I dropped in on Faith at the very last minute of an evening due to unexpectedly needing accommodation. Perhaps it was meant to be, as I’m so glad I got to experience her amazing place! It’s absolutely beautiful, everything is thoughtfully provided to the highest standard and the room is incredible. Faith herself made me feel so welcome in spite of me rocking up at an unsociable hour. Thank you so much, I endeavour to visit again under more leisurely circumstances!

Such a lovely place to stay with excellent breakfast choices as well as a dinner offering that was delicious!
The west side of the lake district is less populated and offers choice of sea or lakes. Still many choices of pubs and restaurants.
Owners are incredibly knowledgeable about the area.
Will definitely be back as every creature comfort was met...even for our dogs!

Stayed in this beautiful accommodation for my wedding anniversary last Thursday the 13th of October for 2nights . What can we say the place is stunning and finished to a really high standard we added the romantic package to our room which top it all off . Faith and her staff were really lovely and helpful made us feel comfortable and welcome .the breakfast and evening meal was cooked with love, really enjoyed !.definitely would recommend 👍

Almost perfect. Magnificent place with stunning suites/rooms. Lacking a few finer touches that you’d expect in its category but the most amazing breakfast and wonderful staff.
