In my opinion the sole shouldn't come off in under 3 weeks but the lady in the shop alleged it was my son's fault for dragging his feet. She grudgingly agreed to return the faulty boots but couldn't replace them with like for like and refused to order in a replacement. She offered some alternatives, didn't check they fit properly and you could have cut the atmosphere in the shop with a knife.
I don't expect to be treated like dirt when returning goods which cost a lot of money but are clearly not fit for purpose. Dreadful customer service. I shall never shop there again and would recommend others to avoid the shop like the plague.
So we went and bought two pairs of trainers and two pairs of school shoes somewhere else (which took ~20 mins!!) and wont return.
They must be doing so well to be able to turn away £150.
It was easy to book an appointment and we had the shop to ourselves.
Thank you so much Happy Feet!
Plus it's a nice day out in Lindfield!
As a single dad struggling financially, had to firmly insist after having to say it over 4 times, I needed a shoe the next size up from what they said my son was. I understand they need to advice and give best advice, but also would have been nice to not have to insist so many times and be listened to. i Felt very judged and made to feel like a bad parent. I feel I am not their demographic customer. Yet I have bought 4 pairs of shoes from the in the past two years. We went their straight after the sole of my son's gorex was falling of, good trainers we bought their around 6 months ago, around £45, we wanted to buy a new pair his feet was wet, I didn't know how bad. Told they would have lasted longer if they were not used to run around in wet!!!!! (6 months is a good life span in my opinion for trainers)
With what I have said, it's still a shop that is nice personal owned busines, please don't let my experience put you off. Not that you have much choice in the village.
