Very good shop for supplying children’s school shoes. Very good range, and they also have a loyalty scheme where every 10th pair of shoes are free. Overall my experience with the store has been very good. They get very busy and operate a ticketing system in late August and other busy school shoe periods. Why Four stars? They don’t offer refunds, so if you make a mistake you can only get a credit note. In this day and age refunds are a must I think. It makes it impossible to buy shoes as a gift from here.

Brought my 11 year old daughter a pair of school shoes, after 2 terms a hole was inside the shoe at the front almost to the outside of the sole. I gave the shop the benefit of doubt & agreed for my daughter to have the same shoe because she loved them so much & after just 11weeks another hole has appeared inside the front of the shoe. The Manager tells me my daughter is making salt under her right foot!! Why would she not be making salt under her left foot I wonder?! Badly made shoe. I don’t expect to be buying shoes every 1.5 terms at £54 a pair!! Sent to quality control so let’s see if I get a replacement. Head office were much more helpful than shop staff.

The shop offers NO refunds! I spent over 100 GBP on shoes, and they were too small. Sometimes with busy lifestyle we properly try out the shoes at home. So I did and noticed that the shoes were a bit too tight. For that money, shoes would have to be perfect, and I needed half size bigger shoes. Shop told me no refunds, only replacement or credit note. Well that would be ok if they had my size. They do not do half sizes (even though same shoes online from different supplier have half size). I asked for a refund to be able to order same shoes half size bigger directly from manufacturer. They said NO!. Only credit note or replacement. I told them that would be ok if they had my size, but they don't. The shoes I wanted I couldn't get, and I did not want any other shoes. Very very disappointed. I now have a credit note, and not the shoes I wanted.

Staff in the shop are friendly and polite but they didn’t have my size so went online, it has taken 5 days and the shoes still haven’t arrived was given a tracking number and told they had been dispatched only to find out when ringing up that they haven’t sent the shoes out just the paperwork.
I certainly won’t be using them again, terrible service

Sad to see yet another good (shoe)shop closing down! It's happening everywhere you go. You never know what shops are going to be left in any town now .

Best shoe shop I've ever been to, between 1984-2022. The quality of the shoes was outdone only by the quality of the service. And soon they'll be gone. Of course all things eventually change on a High Street, but losing this shop can only be a loss to the town and far beyond.

Excellent shop . All the staff are wonderful. We have disabled twin boys and the staff are always kind patient and understanding with the boys as noisy and crowded places upset them. We have shopped here ever since our boys all three of them needed shoes and always come back as we have never had the kindness, compassion and care from anywhere else. 19 years of superbly excellent service an still going. I can't thank the staff enough for the kindness they show the boys.
