Soames Footwear

This was probably one of the worst customer service examples I have ever had. The staff didn't even seem interested when I went in but as soon as I picked something up they were pushy and it was not a pleasant experience at all. The shop didn't have anything I wanted so I asked if there were any other shoe shops in town. The manager (an older man) point blank said NO! when there was actually another shoe shop RIGHT NEXT DOOR which was much nicer. I won't be using Soames again.

I have shopped here twice and on both occasions the staff have been very helpful and attentive. The first time I needed to buy a pair of shoes on recovering from a broken ankle ! They found the most comfortable shoe and the relevant adjustments as one foot was swollen .
The second time the manager and I had an interesting conversation about past times !
Thoroughly recommend them for a very professional approach .

Bought a pair of nice brogues from them. There was a problem and they are sorting it out and have treated me and the problem exactly as I'd expect. A nice and professionally run shop. There is another shop next door and it's very nice too. I've ordered some boots from them. Great that Monmouth has so many good independent retailers.
