Chelmer Village Retail Park

Can only park for 3 hours. Very few signs with it on. One relatively small sign on your way in. £100 fine. So if you want to have lunch and then go to a bunch of shops. Go to the town centre or lakeside as there is no way to pay to park longer. If you are only going for food or a shop or two its fine.

A good retail park, it could do with public toilets and a concession for a good quality "Street food" van something along the lines of Eat the farm or similar as opposed to the greasy spoons. There were only a couple of empty units and the rest offered a good range. Later opening hours than the town centre mean you can avoid the rush hour traffic, it has plenty of parking, it is on bus routes, and also has easy access to all major roads in and out of Chelmsford.

There's something about this store which stands it above some of the others.

Everything always looks fresh and inviting, even down to the way it's stacked on the shelves. It's very clean, and I rarely see empty shelves.

I can't say the staff are helpful tho and not particularly friendly either. But I don't go to see the staff so it doesn't deserve taking a star away.

Great selection of shops. Most open until 8pm. Getting in and out can be a bit crazy during busy periods but is easy enough to walk to from town if you're not doing a big shop.

Great Next store. Free 2 hour parking. Boots, Pets store, Halford, TKmax, JD Sports and much more. Well worth visit.

Easy to get to, parking is free with plenty of space. Good variety of shops. Was surprised to see Pizza Hut replaced by Itsu. I havent dined in this Itsu yet so unable to comment on the food.

Nice retail park but you can only park there for 3 hours so over Christmas looking in shops and then sit down for a coffee you have to watch your time.

So I went to shop here and got a parking ticket in the post for overstaying. It was a rude shock. Careful guys, always read the signs 🙄
