More empty shops than anything else, it's only the coffee shop that I usually visit. I'm sure more could be done with all the empty premises in Northampton, there has to be a better use for them rather than lying empty. Perhaps new small craft businesses could use them rent and rate free for a period of time to establish their business, got to be better than them being empty!!!!

It's so surprising how many shops you can find here, it's a really great place for shopping.

I think most reviews confuse this with the Grosvenor centre. Market walk has no more than 3 shops in it now. 80% empty now . What happened to the pubs and restaurants rejuvenation that was supposed to happen in 2017 when it went downhill ?? Nothing it seems. It's on borrowed time.

Generally pretty good with clear, visible instructions on how to enter the shops. Hand sanitising stations were not too abundant, but otherwise good all round precautions. Nice shopping centre with quite a few people venturing around.

It is a place to walk, and it is near the market, but calling it a shopping centre is a stretch. I assumed there had been an evacuation and everyone had been asked to leave as I didn't see anybody for about a minute. The cafes were closed as were most of the remaining shops, but mostly the centre is empty. The market square is less than half its former size, and few traders remain there. So a shopping centre with nothing in, leading to not much outside.

Nice and tidy and although not all the shops are reopened, there are still lots of places to put your foot in. Next wasn't to busy, Primark full and well worth the effort to stay in the long queues. River Island is worst than the old Peacock now, lots of jewelry for sale at H Samuel, Accesorize still closed etc
Happy shopping everyone, is well deserved after such a long break.

Shops closing down 1960s feel, compared to Nürnberg or München { The Germans took time to rebuild their city centres with care, time retaining the beautiful old style} compared to the British who just poured ugly concrete

Clean, tidy, empty, Sainsbury have left the building, along with Charlie Brown and about 6 other shops.
I could hear the Specials as I wandered thru. People of a certain age will get that. 😃
