This tour seamlessly blends art, architecture, history and social commentary. Luke is a wonderful guide - warm, funny and insightful - and the two hours flew by. His passion for his city and its rich past is palpable. Overall, this tour is an entertaining and thought-provoking way to learn about a city with a long history and eye toward the future.

We really enjoyed the Blackbeard to Banksey tour while exploring Bristol. Our guide (I forget his name but he’s been leading tours in Bristol for over 15 years) was super knowledgeable, had a well-projected voice so we could always hear him, and walked at a strong yet not overly-aggressive pace. The information shared was super interesting and covered Bristol’s vast history all the way through to very recent happenings. Our guide’s great sense of humor allowed him to quickly bring the group back to smiles even after sharing some of the darkest parts of Bristol’s history. The experience was well worth the inexpensive ticket! We highly recommend joining a tour!!

This is a great way to while away a couple of hours. Easy walking, with an informative and enthusiastic guide. There were loads of neat stories and anecdotes, and plenty to see.

If you want a thorough and structured history of the development of the city and it's growth then this isn't what you are looking for. But if you want a relaxing and enjoyable morning with a bit of a giggle then it's just the job.

Great way to learn some random history on street art, architecture and people of note. Luke was engaging and knowledgeable nice mix of humour and facts, group was a bit large 25+ so struggled sometimes to be close enough to hear him. we love the city but great to see things that we've never noticed before excellent value for money highly reccomend to give it a go. Wear some decent shoes for walking though

An excellent tour and introduction to Bristol. I highly recommend people to consider the walk with Simon when visiting Bristol, a great way to start your visit to the city.
Simon was very well informed and entertaining. He had lots of trivia about things related to Bristol.
Simon was very friendly and helpful.

We had Luke as our tour guide today and he was great! Good sense of humour and very knowledgeable. The tour went by quite quickly and he gave helpful tips on how to extend your own visit around historic Bristol further, if you wanted to. Thank you, really enjoyed our visit. 😊

We were in Bristol for a few days break in November 2022 and decided to do the walk as we had heard so many good stories about it. We booked it for Sunday the 6th and woke up to torrential rain and reckoned most folks wouldn’t turn up - but we decided to brave it anyway - and we’re so glad we did. Simon was our guide and despite the rain, all 10 people turned up. Restores your faith in humanity, doesn’t it. What a fantastic couple of hours we had. The stories and the sense of humour we got from Simon were superb - not to mention his drum solo on the nail ??? Yep, you have to go on the tour to find out about that one. The history of Bristol and the easy way Simon held our attention was top drawer. OK, we did get soaked, but it was an experience worth the mild drenching. If you’re in Bristol for a few days, put this trip on your “ Must do” list. Enjoy.
