I've just left the Post Office section and the attitude of the staff there is disgusting. They are the most unhelpful unfriendly rude people and when customers get upset and ask to see the manager, they say "he's gone out somewhere" And "Don't ask me any questions" (This from the gem of a lady at parcels). I and the long queue of other customers stood for over 25 minutes and were totally ignored by the BEYOND SLOW and disinterested "gentleman" coming on shift (till 12) and his equally enthusiastic and helpful colleague who came to greet and chat with him, drinking her bottles water, and completely ignoring the rows of waiting customers. This is sadly not the first time I've experienced the total disinterest and couldn't care less attitude of the staff here. This needs to be addressed with these people urgently!!!

Very disappointed to find that this place was closed when I went to buy a Sunday Newspaper this morning 3rd Jan 2021. It was open last Sunday and throughout the November "lockdown". According to Google Maps it is open (info updated within the past three days apparently) and according to Google Maps the Post Office that is located within it is also open.

Edit on 17th January 2021 .... I'm pleased to report that the store was open this morning (maybe someone read my review of 3rd January, it was also closed on Sunday 10th January) so I'm increasing my rating of the store from ONE star to FOUR as, when it is open, this is easily the best newsagent in Ilford.

Edit on 7th February 2021 ... Back to a one star review again unfortunately as when I went to visit the store around an hour back (11:30AM) it was closed again!! Google Maps think it is now open and is even "less busy than usual" but I'm not going to head out there again just to see. It'll have to be another newspaper-free day for me I'm afraid.

Edit on 14th February 2021 ... The place was open when I called in around 11:35AM... yippee!! ... back to a 4 Star review.

WHSmith are crooks, only 2 staff in post office with 7 counters. Disgusting

I bought some storage boxes which was in sale for a good price. There was a good customer service by a black lady in the shop with a good customer service approach.

I Always try to use this post office as I found the staff to be very helpful, my review is for a staff member who is called Shekhar, This guys is extremely knowledgeable and always very helpful and honest when explaining all my options whenever I needed anything posting..
Keep up the great work.

There are pickpocket theives in area.
