I like going to this shop for books, magazine's and other things like calendars and stationary. They have a large variety of books, magazine's and stationary. When it's busy in the shop it can get hard to get around!

Have a very good selection of on the shelf magazines catering for most interests and will also order ones specific to your individual preference. Stationery although expensive is of a very good quality and again the in store selection is excellent stocking certain items other shops simply don't have. Friendly staff are always welcome and it's nice to see a shop from my childhood still open for business despite everything. If you have hobbies then this high street store is still a great source.

I use this store mainly for art and university stationary, which tends to be of good quality, if not pricy at times. Offers can sometimes be very good value.
I do not use the store for books/magazines, and so do not take this into account in my review.

This chain of store is not as good as it used to be. It was always the place to get a book or magazine, but due to modern day technology, ie internet ,selection in stores is in my opinion poor.

Not a favourite of mine, not enough staff. To much enphasis on selling sweets and supporting unhealthy eating by giving away cheap fast food vouchers.

This store is so old fashioned and empty. Lots of sweets for sale though. I found the staff to be quite snobby and unhelpful, also you can find their products elsewhere cheaper. I paid £10 for sketching pencils but could have bought same for half the price in the works. You need to up your game if you plan staying on the high street whsmith!!!!!

I always thought whsmith to be an overpriced expensive shop so I never really bought anything from them ever. But as a dhl service point it is conveniently located. Unfortunately the staff is a big let down for both whsmith as well as dhl. It took this person 20 minutes the book in my parcel on the first occasion and another 20 for another staff to book it out a week later. As bad luck had it, I had to use this dhl service point again a few weeks later. That time I was informed that the only person who can use the dhl service point is unavailable and that I should call back 2 hrs later. I got in my car and drove to the out of town dhl depot to send my parcel instead. However if you don't drive you're out of luck as there is no easy way to get there without a car. Also when interacting with the staff they all seemed to have an attitude and acted like I was some weird person trying to use their store as a dhl service point.

Absolutely terrible DHL service point. Staff are slow, uncooperative, arrogant and unhelpful. Every single time I've gone there has been a new problem everytime.
