Great food. Lovely cooked breakfast, poached eggs are cooked to order .
Great steak for an evening meal.
One downside was no air conditioning and our bed was a small double.

Waitress was nice, however food wasn't great mine was cold and i asked for no bacon in the burger but it arrived with bacon. The burger tasted of smoked bacon which I don't like. I don't like to send things back which will probably go to waste, so I took it out. Other people that came in after we ordered food theirs arrived before ours so I'm guessing that's why it was cold probably sitting on side. Service was slow but we were keen to get in and out if we didn't have other places to go it would of been fine. Chef(s) need to pay more attention to the order requirements, could be someone with an allergy.

Friendly enough staff, but boy, this establishment has significantly plummeted over the last 5 years. The menu was falling apart which wouldn't of been noted if not for the seriously lack of care when preparing our meal. Skin was left on the Mushrooms, in my opinion, that's lazy. The chips were amazing! The steak was OK and the burger was barely even seared. When I approached a member of staff he quite adamantly demanded how he would order it even rarer... more flavour packed in he said. However, that did not leave me feeling as though I had been heard. I took a bite and noticed the extreme pinkness of the burger, felt instantly sick as I had already swallowed it and could not touch it again. The mini corn cobs, turned out to be an overcooked half cob cut into three that tasted as though it had been warming for hours. This used to be a lovely restaurant to visit, after this experience on the 5th Nov 22. We will not be back. What may aid this restaurant is someone who takes pride and loves this aspect of work, take a fresh stance and clean the slate. I wish you the very best of luck in the future.

Firstly, I have to note the amazing work ethic we witnessed by Keiran when we were waiting for our meals. He was working his socks off-keeping all the meals coming out one after the other! Our waitress, Tequilla, was so polite, very accommodating and super friendly-she did all she could to assist with the food. The manager, Lee, was also amazing and assisted with helping to get our food earlier as my grandmother needed to eat earlier for medical reasons-what a super star. These three are such a credit to the team and to the Beefeater brand. It was such a busy night, but watching all the staff running around trying to keep up with the drinks and meal orders made us realise they were doing all they could to keep up with the amount of people in. The reason for the star removal was due to some issues with the food. Unfortunately, the salad had no sweetcorn or avocado, when it should have been included. The turkey dinners didn't have any cranberry sauce either. When we tried to order desert, despite the menu saying "new key lime pie", the staff said that they no longer do it. The other desert we tried to order was the banoffee waffle sundae and they had no waffles. I would like to add that the four stars instead of five is no reflection on the staff and just a disappointment with some of the food issues. The food we did eat was absolutely delicious. It was beautifully cooked and very tasty. The Yorkshire puddings were lush too.

We needed a place for dinner before going to iFLY across the road. The previous reviews were very mixed, either having had a positive experience or the complete opposite, so were unsure what to expect. Beafeaters can vary and are normally standard food. We were given a table but was told we would need to finish by an hour and a half as it was booked. It was reasonably quiet when we arrived, but by the end of the meal it was almost full, so was good to have been given it. We were served by a really friendly guy who was so helpful. The others who also served us were friendly and helpful. The food was really nice, we all enjoyed what we chose. My daughter's was from the children's menu, I ordered the vegan burger and my husband had the surf and turf, which he really enjoyed and the steak was cooked perfectly as he ordered. The coke and chips are available to top up free, which was a nice surprise, especially that my first drink was half filled with ice so wasn't much coke. We had sides and were good too. Overall ours was great, food and the friendliness of the staff. One thing that could have been different was the table and seat had food on, so we just brushed it off.

Its OK, relatively cheap and cheerful, good service and ok pub grub but hoo boy its in need of a deep clean and renovation.

I went with a friend of mine wanting a cheap and easy lunch. Walking in, it gives a classic feel of a beefeater / harvester. Its quite dark in there, with decor that needs a update. It took over a minute to be greeted and sent to the table. As always with these places I'm always initially offered the crappiest table, but I asked if we could be seated in a comfy booth and our waitress kindly obliged. There was a few old timers in there at 1pm Monday afternoon, but it was probably 10% full.

Service was good, prompt taking of our drink order and perfect timing of order taking and lunch being served. I had a surf and turf for over £20 and it was pretty average, I would say overpriced, but it was certainly edible. Steak was cooked medium rare how I like it but they should of trimmed the fat off as it wasnt nice all grisly and tough. The 2 king prawns were excellent, but the calamari was a bit over fried and greasy. The triple cooked chips were standard frozen McCains Home Fries style - why proper chips cut from fresh potatoes are never sold at these places I dont really understand. Presentation of the food was nice with a bit of salad garnish and garlic mayo.

However, the cleanliness of the place was not good. It felt dirty and unkept with wallpaper stained and peeling off the ceiling. The front doors glass was smeary and fingerprinted all over. Carpets seemed filthy and dirt and grime was everywhere, even on the ramekins that they serve ketchup and mayo in, yuck! It is in need over a deep clean and better cleaning regime to encourage people like me to return.

I guess if I was a travelling salesman and had a stopover in the Premier Inn next door I'd take a english breakfast in there, but as for choosing to go there, it really needs to be renovated and relaunched. The Harvester down the road is better place to eat for the same price and I know its bit more pricey but Miller and Carters is in another league compared to this Beefeater.
