Apollo Stone removed pebbledash for us and cleaned and repointed bricks. Work was carried out to a very poor standard.
Bricks were sliced when removing mortar as time and care was not taken to do properly. Pointing was very untidy, lines don't look straight and mortar is not consistent colour across the whole house. We wanted the pointing to look like a house across the road which had very neat and precise pointing. We showed this to Jason prior to work starting so he knew exactly what we were looking for. After the work was completed and it looked nothing like the neat pointing on our neighbours house, he said the neighbours house had a different type of pointing (ribbon pointing) to what he had used on our house and it was more expensive and they don't do that type of pointing. I feel he should have told me this upfront and we would never have used him as the final result looks nothing like what we were after.
We raised the issue of the poor quality pointing with Jason and the solution he came up with was to paint the mortar with a dye the same colour as the brick to make the lines appear straighter. However it rained shortly after and the red dye ran all down the mortar and bricks which just made the whole thing look even worse.
We complained to Jason about this and about the fact there were darker and lighter sections of mortar. He blamed this on a 'damp problem' in our house and told me to employ a damp specialist. We do not have a damp problem as we had a full survey carried out on the house a few months before.
We still owe Jason £500 and would have loved to pay the final amount if he would come and resolve the issues but he has refused. He is extremely unprofessional, shouting and swearing rather than engaging in a conversation and coming up with a resolution.
We regret using this company and wish we had payed more for a reputable company that would have treated us and our lovely house with a bit more respect.

For years I had lived with and hated the pebble dash on the front of my house. Continuously seeing the other houses in my street , with their period features eventually made me choose Apollostone to restore my house to it's former glory. The quote was reasonable and good value. The scaffolding was erected beforehand by them, and two of his team arrived two days later to commence work. They removed the pebble dash, power washed the front of the house. Repaired and restored any damaged brickwork and colour matched the any faults. Then all pointing was removed, and re-done. Finally another wash and seal put on any porous brickwork. In total in took almost two weeks. My house was transformed, it looks like new and all the period features,they saved and restored . Very efficient transformation. his team were very friendly and helpful when I asked technical questions. Very happy with the result. Have had many compliments from neighbours. I would highly recommend this company.
