Contacted this company for a quote to replace a crumbling stone window sill. Contact with the company was always excellent and informative. They very happily provided a quote breakdown when I asked. I was kept up to date regarding when the job could be done and a mutually convenient day was arranged. On the day of the job the men arrived at the time expected and were extremely pleasant and easy to talk to. The work was carried out to my complete satisfaction and the area was left tidy. Durham Stonemasonry repaired / replaced several large pieces of stonework around the bay windows on the front of my house. The stones were cut precisely and their attention to detail was excellent. Service was friendly and I have booked them to do further restoration work.

With a listed house, you need to know that the team working on it has not only experience but cares for the quality of the work and is willing to pay attention to detail. A window cill and cracked quoins have so far been beautifully replaced and the team will be back to tackle the pointing in the summer. Couldn't be happier with the work. Highly recommend.

Loose sandstone window mullion secured with stainless steel dowel. Very happy - and relieved - with the job. They kept in touch constantly between acceptance of quote and commencement of work.
