It was weird experience. First of all it was clean enough and that's the most important in my opinion. As for the rooms, they are fairly small and that white on the walls is like a hospital. Although, they offer a pretty good chair, the desk is pretty small too.

TLDR? (Too long didn't read?)
Cheap (for London standards), small and white.

Overall a nice place to stay, but I do have some complains about this accomodation. First of all don't be surprised when one day you wake up and the kitchen cookware just disapears, basically the cleaning staff throws that way if you leave in the sink for more than 1 day even when you didnt have time to clean it, this has happened several times so the money that you are saving for being in a low budget accomodation you are spending in new cookware every month... cleaning staff is also super noisy in the morning when there are still people sleeping they are just shouting at each other in the corridor and using the the vacum cleaner right in front your door at around 9am. The kitchen smell(specially on the weekend) is disgusting, I dont even dare to go in there on a sunday. It's hard to find place for your food in the fridge.

Good things: Security staff are super kind and helpful (a secure place to stay), Toilets and showers are most of the times very clean (but sometimes without toilet paper and soap), common room is a nice place to meet people and study. very close to transports and supermarkets.

Good location, easy to find.
Terrible showers with extremely hot water. Doors of the rooms don't have a hold-open device, so you can hear the slamming from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and then again from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ It was irritating and not easy to fall asleep.

It's was amazing and lovely to stay here. People and staff are helpful and friendly. I would love to come and stay. I would definitely recommend to all the students who are Looking for accomdatios. It has all u would ever need. Everything is around like cinema, Morrison's, restaurants. I would miss this place really bad.

Awful place to live. It is cheap for London, but not worth it.
Their "zero tolerance policy towards bullying" meant that they released me from my contract when I was being bullied. The bully received no form of punishment at all, despite them standing at my doorway and screaming at me for an hour (for something I didn't even do!), and illegally filming me in my room. When I complained to the staff in the office, they only asked the bully to delete the video of me. They refused to take any action and only offered to release me from my contract. After the incident, I had to stay at a friend's place for a week as I was too scared to step foot back in my room. There was no compensation for the loss of money associated with having to move out due to their negligence and inaction. The extra cost associated with me having to move out due to bullying was approximately £640 (due to the higher rent in the only available alternative residence I could find at such short notice). Furthermore, the bully in question had previously assaulted (punched) another resident's friend. I was assured by several residents that this incident had been reported to security and the office staff, yet when my parents called to complain about the bullying (and mentioned that they were worried for my safety due to my neighbour having previously assaulted this person), the staff in the office denied any knowledge of this assault.

Some Smaller But Significant Points:
The smaller kitchens are too small for more than one person to cook in at a time.
The showers are stuck on freezing cold and boiling hot temperatures, which you cannot change. If you have any skin conditions, this will cause problems.
It constantly smells of weed.
A member of the cleaning staff used to shout about how much she hated students.
If you accidentally leave anything in the bathroom, it will be thrown away by the cleaning staff.
The sound-proofing is awful. In some of the rooms, any noise coming from the other room (even whispering) can be heard. The common room is incredibly loud and can be heard even if you are on the second floor above.
The area is also not safe; I was approached several times by older men asking me to go home with them, while I was walking home.
There were outbreaks of bedbugs.
There were several days where the wifi would not work at all.

I wholeheartedly regret living here.

Janitor, cleaning and security staff are superb. You get your money's worth. Aside for one person at reception however, management are pretty unhelpful and inconsiderate when it comes to understanding student financial issues.

I was once told I'd have to wait the next day to get a new key by a member of staff even though the spare keys were behind her and it was 14:00 (3 hours before office hours closed. I came the next day at 14:00 and the same person groaned when I asked to get a replacement key.

Email replies are always very slow and the reply you get is often vague and generic.

We were also disrupted constantly for pest control for 6 weeks at 8 am without being informed after the second week. When we asked about this, management blamed security which we thought was pretty unprofessional.

During the pandemic management insisted they close the kitchens, garden and common room area (the latter of which they succeeded until we complained). This would have meant students, already on a tight budget, would not have had access to cook our own food and instead would have to order exorbitant prices on take out. Thankfully the staff I acknowledge below (specifically Sue) managed to prevent this.

So hospitality from management is pretty poor. And if they are nice and respectful it's for show and means nothing when a student actually needs help.

However, a big shoutout to Fabio, Darrah, Sue, Chris, Marek and Kandza who have been extremely hard-working and understanding. Wood Green is what you make of it and I did my best making some life long friends in the process despite what I write above.

A 2 minute walk from Wood Green underground station and just 15 minutes travel time to London Met university. Staff are the highlight of the place and make it feel homely. Nice garden available and only a short walk to Alexandra palace. Lots of shops and restaurants in the local area. Overall good value for money.

Place I’ve called home for a year. But the rooms are so small that you can’t take more than 5-6 steps. Not too many events. The bathroom is separate (not en suite) but they are plenty. For me it acted as a budget student accommodation away from the central London glory. Sometimes I liked the anonymity and distance, other times I was depressed as to why do I have to live with bunch of random students from lesser universities. Honest evaluation.
