A 'typical' commuter London Underground station, except for a fortnight during the Wimbledon Championships, when the flow of people is in reverse as more people alight than board trains during the morning rush hour. There is one entrance / exit at the front of the train if you're arriving from central London and at the back if you're arriving from Wimbledon. There is also a lift at this station therefore the platform is easily accessible for those with reduced mobility or pushchairs / buggies, however if you arrive from central London, it may not be immediately obvious: cross towards the opposite side of the platform (to the right of the stairs as you see them) and there's a fairly narrow passageway to it. There are hanging baskets and planters, making the station generally pleasant. At busy times, queues can form in front of the ticket machines.

Great little station. The staff are friendly and helpful. Nice news stand. They also put a lot of effort into decoration during the Wimbledon tennis tournament.

Honestly impressed with this station. Accessing the platforms and trains is completely step free since a lift are provided. The entrance, exit and staircase is wide with multiple ticket barriers to assist with the passenger flow. Downside is that there are only three ticket machines here and if TFL are going to close the ticket offices here, the least they can do is provide enough ticket machines to cope with the rush hour passengers.

This is my home station. Been living here since I was a little kid.
I have to say that in the last five or so years, it’s kind of declined.
Don’t get me wrong, the staff are super friendly... if there are staff.

This area was a nice little hidden gem. A little village like area with locally owned businesses. But like everything in London, once people find the cheaper rent, this place opened more large chains. And the area is now swarming with people.

This station gets rammed at rush hour. And this line takes a hit so many times. Severe delays and line breaking down every few months.
Strikes on top don’t help either.

During Wimbledon is kind of nice. They roll out the red carpet for the tourists, cover the warn seating and put down some fake grass (AstroTurf?) to make this place look more shiny than normal.
And it’s beautiful in the summer with the station being an open area with a long track with seats. Feels great when the sun is at the right spot to warm you up while waiting for a service.
Same again, flowers planted for the tennis, otherwise it’s the junk and trash littering the edges.

You can tell this station is historic. It feels nothing like the sterile city stations 30 mins away. Like an artist or writer would get inspiration walking through.

This is my home. Review written on a delayed district line train due to red signals. Another day in Southfields station :)

Zone 3. District line. Step-free access. No toilets. Very very busy during Wimbledon tennis fortnight, last week in June & first week in July.

A vibrant, throbbing place thronged by legions of tennis aficionados heading towards or returning from Wimbledon Park.

Good pitch, decent size for an 8-a-side game.
