The station has perhaps the narrowest platform between tracks of any Tube station I've frequented for starters. It's a good station to use though even by Tube station standards as it pops you out at the intersection of Clapham High Street so shops and restaurants are readily accessible. The Common, as you may have guessed, is a short walk away too. An excellent pizza place called Joe Public and the WC are connected to the station too if you immediately need a bite to eat.

Wonderful architecture. The station has one of two remaining island platforms in a single tunnel, which although historic must pose a safety issue when it's crowded! Certainly not your average tube station, it's a good look back at the Underground of the past.

Lovely Station that is never that busy. Nice middle platform with lots of cafe and shops near by before to go to before your journey. It is the best station to go to before heading off for your walk around Clapham Common.

A beautiful space in between rows of shops, brasseries, bistro pubs and cafes,
which was packed full of crowds, yesterday,
gregarious individuals sunbathing, lounging, taking in the rays,
chatter-matter laughing and chit-quip chatting,
soaking in the ambiance as wafts from nearby shops fill the air,
don't despair, there's space on the well kept grass for happy snappy chit chat and cold refreshing alcohol or beer.

The tree lined curbs give the park a woodland effect,
and a far cry from the burgeoning traffic moving slowly in introspect.
Forget the car and walk-jig jog the distance,
The traffic jam isn't worth the stress, for instance.

It's alway a great place to be at. It's probably the first common I started to go to since I came to London and especially now when temperatures are sizzling hot I try to cut through this lovely place everytime I'm on my way back from work. What is even more impressing is the number of sports facilities including outdoor gyms, skate park and absolutely, absolutely amazing basketball court. You'll find tennis courts, rugby fields numerous benches to sit on and relax after hot or hard day at work. Location makes the travel easiest in the world since you got two tube stations on both ends of the common plus tens of bus stops surrounding it. If you are in London you know what I'm on about.

The station is the old design with steep stairs and a single platform in between two lines, so feels historical.

Let me preface this by saying there's nothing wrong with a little foreplay.
Good station, I bought some skinned milk from the shop and brought it here but dropped it to my behest and the skin milk went all down the steps. After that it was wets. However I would deal with this again to go down the steps

Busy station coz its like junction of buses underground, overground n train station not far from it. Plenty of shops, eating n drinking places around. This station is served by Northern line. Simple but nice clean station. I like this station coz of its one main platform in middle. U can have amazing view n photos when both trains run together in opposite directions. Clapham Common is not far which is famous for a walk, music events, funfairs, winter wonderland n many more. U can have a beautiful autumn view now a days.
