I have taken the metropolitan line train to school every day for the past few years and before that for trips to London. Now from what I can remember the old S7 stock trains were okay, they were a bit worn and shabby with the seats falling apart and that really loud noise. Now with the new S8 stock being introduced. It is much better, these trains have great air conditioning for the summer and warm heating for the winter. The seating arrangement is much better and at rush hour at Baker Street these trains can fit everyone on. Only downside is that some of the seats have wear on the moquette material and chewing gum hardened into the fabric. It’s been a bit disappointing to see the extension development has not gone ahead and there were funding issues and whatever else. There was one instance when my bike was left out by the front of the station overnight and my bike D lock was cut off but my bike was still left there. The police do a great job here. On my other bike my front wheel was stolen during the day. The staff were helpful and gave great advice for the future and steps to prevent theft. One day on the way to school the staff here were kind enough to let me pass through the barriers and get on the train after my Oyster card had snapped right in front of my eyeSz. At night time the place has a different atmosphere and you will usually find vomit at the front of the train. I see these cleaners looking after the train and picking up newspapers and other litter. They do a good job and are kind. There are usually plenty of newspapers to pickup. Rarely they run out. There is a WiFi connection here if your mobile carrier supports it which can be useful. The trains are frequent too even in off peak time. There are a few delays but the drivers always seem to give frequent information and updates over the telecom which is good. The toilets here need a make over, at least the men’s. The female toilets are located at the other side of the station barriers and some people may get confused. I don’t think they’ve ever had a proper clean. There is always wee on the floor. There are lots of spider webs and dirt. The taps covered in limescale etc. It just needs an update and it would be good. It smells a bit too. I have never sat in the waiting room. The staff here are usually very helpful and understanding of the different situations that occur when travelling by the metropolitan line train service. Overall I’d have to say this is one of the best train stations I have visited and will continue to visit as I live. They always have tube maps and leaflets in their brochure display and usually have free Oyster card wallets above the ticket machines. There is a free cash point ATM Machine inside before the barriers which is useful. There is a shop next door which I think sells cigarettes to children. The station itself is 5/5 and sometimes you can hear classical music as you walk through the stairway. I did my French assessment on this nice station. Let me know if you want to see it. After seeing someone else’s review I have realised there is no accessibility for people in wheelchairs and I often see people struggling with suitcases or push chairs with children so maybe use Watford junction station if that is the case. Watford junction has a few lifts and ramps and has a quicker train towards London. This station is near Cassiobury park and it is close to the Watford town centre which they are currently developing a new Intu shopping centre. Keep that in mind. The front is illuminated with a great big blue and white sign with the Roundel on a tall post by the road. Some drivers do not give way to pedestrians here. There is no parking at the station itself but there is parking nearby and there is enough room for hundreds of bicycles.

Basically 3 stars just for the train service.

If you're planning to take Met line to come into the town center, then it's no good.

Town center is a good 30 minutes walk away from the station.

Station is located in a residential area not in the town center.

Besides that, after passing Harrow On The Hill, the train gets very slow, because it has to give way for on coming trains as they use same track for cross over.

Sunday 30th October at 14.30 I was on my way to the train when I realized there's stairs, no lift and I have my newborn daughter in a pushchair. I see this young guy inside the information box working for TFL and kindly asked him to help me take her down. He refused saying that it was company policy.. I've traveled around London with her nd plenty of workers have happily helped me out. I had to take her down the stairs on my own, almost falling and dropping my daughter. A bit of kindness won't hurt anybody.. train your people to be more helpful than that please.

A brilliant, clean, safe and well organised train station within a peaceful, picturesque, calming residential area. Honestly, the station is great for the local community and for connecting people to London. The customer service is excellent and the guy who presumably is the Station Manager is really friendly and helpful! Great customer care! However, a point of improvement could be that the dot matrix displays probably need repairing as they never display the times of the trains or how many minutes left till the next train. I find that Google is a little bit misleading and around 8pm the next Metropolitan Line train to Baker Street on Google was 8.03pm. However, I ended up leaving around 8.12pm. Please TFL fix the dot matrix display. In addition, the Metropolitan Line trains aren't very frequent here especially to Aldgate as throughout the day most of the trains either go upto Harrow on the Hill or Baker Street. For instance, I came in around 8pm and the next direct train to Aldgate was 8.41pm. My advice would be to change at Moor Park or Harrow on the Hill for Metropolitan Line services directly to Aldgate. Haha TFL probably wanted to take the mick with 2 Not in Service trains parked on the outer bay platforms! Moreover, whilst this is good for the residents if you want to go to the High Street and Shopping Centre, it's a near 30 minute walk. I'm not complaining but there are people who are unable to walk much. Hence, I wish TFL could have a TFL run bus service connecting Watford Station to Watford General Hospital, Watford High Street Station and Watford Junction Station (Watford High Street station as that's where all the shops and other local amenities are) Overall, a great station and despite me only using Watford Station a few times due to my new job at Watford General Hospital, I am really impressed!

I am giving 5 stars due to the cleanliness and organisation of train station. The customer service is excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Watford Station is a great station located in a peaceful, calming and picturesque location. The station is beautiful and well managed. However, I do wish there was a TFL bus route going around Watford connecting Watford Station to Watford High Street and Watford Junction Station. It would also provide connections to local amenities such as Supermarkets close by, Watford General Hospital and the shopping centre. I don't mind the walking but it can be very long and draining sometimes (comes with age unfortunately) Moreover, Google does not accurately display the times and I find myself waiting forever sometimes due to how at some points during the day it can be infrequent. The dot matrix displays do not wprk sometimes either. Please TFL improve this otherwise Watford is a great station.

Second day the first train has been cancelled. I was checking prior online no information what so ever. Not reliable service.
