Waitrose & Partners Berkhamsted

Very over zealous security guard! Felt quite intimidating walking around having someone virtually in your pocket.

Aside from him and his frail masculinity, the place is great and well located.

Lots of produce and a large amount of staff should you find the need to speak to someone in regards to products.

Right by the canal and lots of parking.

Publicly toilet as well which is great.

Well laid out, spacious and a great selection. Staff were very helpful on many occasions and kindly offered a shopping voucher for something that was my fault as I bought the wrong product. Very happy with their friendly professional service.

The best supermarket in the world, no chaos, just beautiful food, groceries and atmosphere. I wish I lived in Berkhamsted just so I could have the privilege of visiting this Waitrose at my convenience. Tidy and great selection, good offers. Everything I want in a supermarket

Hi my name is Wasim Shah and I worked as a retail security guard employed by (Total Security Services TSS) at Waitrose (Berkhamsted Branch). I was there around last year autumn season 2021 October/November time.

I would like to share my experience that it was a pleasure to work there especially in a friendly atmosphere.

The car park was fantastic as well
as the store itself was always well stocked and had a lot of varieties.

Although I did not work there for too long but all the shifts I did over there were great especially with all the staff members who were very polite, helpful and down to earth.

Jim Brewin was exceptionally good and had a friendly approach.

Shopping at a Supermarket which only allows you 1½ hours to park one's car causes one to become quite neurotic whilst rushing around the store picking and selecting one's goods. Shopping in such a store for one's weekly shop is not a pleasant or relaxing experience. A storeful of customers with such feelings must cause stress amongst the workers in these stores significantly so.

I shall not attempt to shop at this store again.

It's usually ok, but white potatoes I bought in a non-transparent bag were all green! Had to put straight to trash when I came home to avoid poisoning. And there wasn't any other choice as other ones were mostly baking potatoes or yellow ones. I would expect better quality control from the Waitrose veggie section.

Love the selection of random ingredients you might need for some of obscure dinner you’re having a stab at. Of course it’s mark up against other supermarkets is apparent, their clientele is ripe for the taking. It’s not all ridiculously priced and there are some deals providing you seek them out or go at the right time of day. Use too good to go app to get deals on the sushi counter! Speaking of which - the Sainsbury’s sushi counter is better but for a quick fix this isn’t bad. Staff are friendly and helpful always walking you to where your unfindable item is.
Pick your time to go wisely - it can get so busy!

Always love Waitrose quality food and very helpful staff. Some products seem to be hard to find at the moment and prices are rising. Looking better now but some things are getting pricey. Reintroduced the free tea and coffee for waitrose members when shopping.
