Waitrose & Partners Southsea

Great. I enjoyed tricycling down to southsea and waitrose is easy to access and has a nice shelter for locking the bikes under. I tend to buy special products for bread making and versatile frozen veggies. Not to mention Scottish oat cakes, which are the best. Staff are friendly and efficient and everything that I required was easily found. A good day's shopping.

They only care about car drivers. Cyclists and pedestrians cannot enter from Marmion Road. The store is a depressing mess and is covered in graffiti. Very sad to see it decline. Surely they can allow one way entry like they did many years ago. I can understand entry and exit from Marmion Road is a security risk from a theft point of view, so simply implement a one way system for those that want to arrive on foot or by bicycle.

As others have said we need marmion Road entrance and exit opened. Just been in for one item it was very busy with long lines of people with large full trolleys. In asda or tesco people in queues like that would offer to let someone with one item go in front of them but clearly posh people aren't that polite and caring. The tills marmion road end were busy so I ended up having to use self service which is card only which was a pain for less than £3. Unfortunately the receipt didn't come out, thankfully a member of staff sorted this for me quickly and was friendly. She was the only positive thing about shopping there.

Always pleasant staff BUT many products not available fresh bread
and even when it is available largely sourdough (not my go to) dishwasher salt, my brand of cat Food. The selection of fruit and vegetables limited/disappointing. BUT fresh fish, meat and cheese counter a good reason to keep shopping here.

Excellent range of high quality products and special offers. Polite, friendly and efficient service with no queue at the till. Last time I wanted houmous and found two varieties on special offer. I also found a vegetarian quiche reduced for quick sale which was perfect for my lunch. As of 7 November 2022, Waitrose have resumed the offer of a free hot drink with any purchase, however small, but you must bring your own cup.

What i found in Waitrose is that their staff are so helpful,and particularly in this branch,and this month(Nov 2022).
I asked a lady fulling shelves with cap,wearing shorts where seaweed crackers were and found them(aswell as seaweed thins!)-very helpful,as my brain injuries make shopping stressful.
Also a young lady filling shelves looked up something on her phone,and was really helpful.

I shop here and have always found the partners very helpful.. today was no exception .. I had bought bread double cream wine ham various things I’m on foot so don’t go mad .. I got home to find the seal on the cream was not secure .. the day hadn’t gone well and to get home and find half a tub of double cream all over my shopping nailed it really .. felt like crying 😭 I did clean up but called Waitrose to tell them as bread and cream I couldn’t rescue .. Daniel who I spoke to was very sympathetic just come down and we will replace your bread and cream .. I went to get the cream and back to customer service to take my bread .. I was given a lovely bunch of flowers 💐!! Now at this point I did cry … !!! I can never thank Daniel and Kara enough now THATS what you call brilliant customer service .. that act of kindness made me so happy as I’d had one of those days ..Massive thanks to Waitrose Southsea xxxx Happy Christmas 🎄

A very nice shopping experience if you're feeling flush.
