Sainsbury's

This Sainsbury's looks a little out dated from the entrance to me , like a older Sainsbury's a few years back. The flower display in here looks very nice but there was alot of litter on the floor as i walked around this shop, the stock on the shelves wasn't great and had a few gaps. I was suprised to see groups of 3 or more staff standing together talking and relaxing when the store needed some work. The Male toilets in here were not great ,and in need of the litter being picked up, toilet paper, but saying that it was a busy shop with lots of customers. The paintings on the outside were very nice and i enjoyed seeing these and reading the history.

Small but well run. Looking a bit tired in places. Also, has a really annoying self scan exiting system where you have to scan your receipt to get through the barriers. So what, there's a huge self-scan theft problem in the Sainsbury's in Harpenden?!

I Know the lady who was responsible for cleaning the main area at this supermarket first hand. Spotless. The staff are always helpful and patient. As a personal preference, this place is the best for a quick lunch on the go while taking a break from work. The reduced deal prices are competitive to say the least. And during summer the cold food section serves a dual purpose. Take note to keep the receipt after getting your change at the self service machines in order to pass through the exit barriers or else you are going to experience the scrutiny of being confused in front of all the other customers. Safe to say it is Harpendens Staple so far.

Always have what I need. I had someone ask me if they do glass hire which they don't unfortunately. Waitrose do a glass hire service though

Which is a surprise as Harpenden is such a nice place - there were joints of lamb bleeding on shelves, most of the shelves were empty with a poor selection - I gave up and went to the St Albans branch.

Pretty good shopping experience, especially in the evening when it's lesw crowded. Only few things I couldn't find: decent bread, more ready to cook options (they ran out), and organic veg.

It's OK just another supermarket but I couldn't find what I wanted anyway but wasn't desperate so didn't ask..it was quite busy for a Sunday

Had a lovely Lady called Victoria ask if i was okay outside today as there was a incident. she helped me and my friends and dealt with us amazingly! she comforted me and reassured me that everything was going to be okay. She has reminded me that there are good people in the world, and she is one of them. What a beautiful soul.
