This store was selling dead mussels, although the product label shows "live mussels". When we tried to return them to the store the next morning, they refused to refund it because "they cannot take chilled food back after half an hour."
The manager told us that I should have checked when I bought it. Is it not the store's responsibility to check and ensure food safety? If we had these dead mussels, we could have got food poisoning. When I tried to show the manager an article about food safety on mussels, he refused and said he does not need read it. He shows no interest in customer feedback at all.
Also, the customer service lady called Janice was very annoyed when I requested to speak to a manager. Overall, really poor customer experience.
