Just dropped by for a few things . Clean, spacious with plenty of stock. Got everything I wanted. Plenty of parking spaces available including disabled spaces near entrance. Pay for parking but got a refund after shopping in store. Customer toilets were clean.

Poor quality control, poor management and terrible customer service.

This store was selling dead mussels, although the product label shows "live mussels". When we tried to return them to the store the next morning, they refused to refund it because "they cannot take chilled food back after half an hour."

The manager told us that I should have checked when I bought it. Is it not the store's responsibility to check and ensure food safety? If we had these dead mussels, we could have got food poisoning. When I tried to show the manager an article about food safety on mussels, he refused and said he does not need read it. He shows no interest in customer feedback at all.

Also, the customer service lady called Janice was very annoyed when I requested to speak to a manager. Overall, really poor customer experience.

DO NOT ORDER FOOD TO COLLECT FOR EVENTS FROM THIS STORE! I ordered a birthday cake from this branch, paid for it in advance, got the email receipt etc. I went to collect it the day of the party (as instructed) and the order hadn’t come through. Head office just hadn’t bothered to send it to the shop. The guy at the collection point (the bakery) said this happens a lot. I wrote a formal complaint to Sainsbury and they basically said “hope you got a refund, bye”. The staff in the shop were so apologetic (it’s not their fault) but the head depot who arranges the deliveries for event catering AND customer services are INEPT. Go elsewhere!!! If you use Eltham Sainsburys to order catering it will NOT arrive.

Checkout staff grossly overworked in the mad dash by the bosses for staff cuts in favour of self service checkouts. Have any of these so-called managers ever tried to put a weekly shop through self service? No would be my guess. I'm seriously considering taking my substantial custom to Morrisons.

Generally good, staffing levels are poor first thing in the morning until about 8am and a lot of tills are closed. Staff are semi-clued up on stock etc and mostly very helpful .

Old store without many self service tills. The car park has tiny spaces and the entrances/ exits are incredibly tight. Fuel station has short opening hours and no pay at pump. I only shop here if I end up nearby, plenty of larger more modern supermarkets nearby.

Absolutely awful online delivery service. 3 weeks ago one driver was ill so I ended up having to collect my own shopping from the store. The next week the shopping never came, I called up to redeliver and it still didn't arrive. I called the delivery help line to complain and all they do is try to call the store for a refund and can never get through. Weeks later, still out of pocket for a weekly shop and feeling I have no recourse.
