Marks and Spencer

Usual excellent selection of food & drink here. It also has an on-site bakery. We often pop in here to either get food & drink to take to Regents Park (a few stops on the tube) or when returning home & go from WH Thameslink. They have a large selection of craft beers in cans but could do with having a wider selection of them in the fridge.

I had a very negative experience today with one of the staff members. He was extremely rude and extremely patronising. This is my local Marks & Spencer‘s,I use it all the time. I have always found the bakers and the staff friendly and positive. I asked the staff member would he be able to slice a Loaf of bread, he responded I don’t slice bread I explained I get my bread here all the time and always have it sliced, as they have a slicing machine in their bakers department.

The staff member responded you can see there is no one at the bakers area ,and said I can tell you how to cut bread with a smile on his face very sarcastically. I was horrified that a professional could speak to a customer in this way.The Manager dealt with the situation and was very professional. I hope I do not have to deal with this individual again and hope he was having a off day and doesn’t consistently speak to customers in this way.

Sadly I experienced a very negative tone and attitude today when asking the store manager a question regarding food deliveries. It was very clear that he was put out because I was interrupting him from his work. He actually look like he was gritting teeth as he spoke.

This was very disappointing because the staff are usually friendly and bubbly and have good customer service. The manager has been there for many years so he should know better and have a good customer service when engaging with customers.

pretty decent food selection, the best in West Hampstead anyway, even have a decent vegan and veg selection, most of the staff are borderline civil, which is a miracle for supermarket staff nowadays, very few I have come across are displaying an attitude and a chip or are overtly rude unlike Waitrose staff and Tesco's

Local M&S food drinks and bakery shop at West hamstead

I used to love this M&S but after Brexit they barely get any products there anymore. Always 3/4 of the shelves are empty and essential goods are missing. Before, they had a great selection of their own pizzas, now they reduced it to 3 basic flavours and they’re always out of stock. Shopping there has sadly become a hunters job. Management should look into minimising stock deficiencies asap.

Bought a suit in a central London branch, they forgot removing the security tag. I came to your shop which is my local one and no one could help and was told to go back to the other store. Very poor service.

Very bad experience this morning @7.35am in M&S West Hampstead. Went into to buy a bottle of Champagne, the shop was empty.
The lady from tobacco was chatting to another customer reprezentative.
I went to the tobacco till thinking they will have to check on the ID for the purchase so I thought no point in using the self one. Both ladies gave me a really bad look suggesting I use the self desk. I appologised for disturbing their chat; however one of the ladies took me to the self desk and start scanning form me but very annoyed, keeping the same bad look towards me
I kept appologising as I really started to feel very intimidated by the lady's attitude; I won't go back to that store.
