Sainsbury's Local

Three stars for this Sainsbury's because it's quite small and often runs out of stock. But otherwise it's OK. There's enough stock for lunchtime and an acceptable selection of groceries and other random bits. There's also an in-store bakery and a good wine selection. It's often busy in here as it's right on the Broadway. Expect a queue at the tills and expect to have to step around some fairly clueless fellow customers.

Most days after work I go into your local store to pick up some shopping. When I came in a saw your security person on the phone speaking in the corner which is highly unprofessional. When I went to the checkout to pay. I picked up a 5p bag and was packing my shopping. Out of no where the security person came and said ‘why did you steal it?’ He then went onto the screen and pressed the 5p bag for me. I got so annoyed I left my shopping and left the store. Your policy is. Once you finish packing your shopping you press how many bags you have used. Having Your security coming to me and saying I’ve stolen it when I haven’t even packed my things is beyond a joke. When I’m half way through my shopping and still scanning it. I am a grown man and wearing a suit. Having been accused of stealing before I’ve finished scanning is a disgrace. You can not accuse someone of stealing unless they have left a store!

What is your policy of having your security being on a phone call when on shift. My third concern is your security is able to wear a cap and hides his face. Is he able to do that. I felt intimidated? He is a Somalian looking person. Tall and wears a cap. After all hat he didn’t even say sorry!

I like this shop because it has everything I need: Vegetables, fruits, cheese, milk, bread, etc. and there are, most of times, very few people. In these times of confinement, it is the best to avoid spending too much time in a supermarket and outside.

This store was selling coffee that had 'HEALTH and safety' issues and was not removed. When I tried purchasing the Kenco coffee here couple of weeks ago, apparantly it was being sold as reduced price from £5 to £3. I took it to the till as alot of panic buyers had bought alot from all over and I liked this one anyway. The till had said it's 50pence. They didn't undertand anything and the manager was called. He said, 'I can't sell" it and when I asked why? He said, "it's "health and safety issue" "oh im remkving them all from the shelf:" and was very rude and that's when I realised that this store has been selling this coffee that was poisonous and imagine all these people who had bought It? Seriously!!! Why havnt you put a recall on this item? It's illegal.....

very rude and unhelpful staff, the indian lady at the till on Saturday 4th July didnt help me claim my scratchcard after saying she will not scratch the number for me (the number you need to claim the prize won) . i have told her i cannot do it as i dont have my glasses and cant see. she still refused and said she cant do it. Went to tesco and i was served by a disabled men that had a problem with his arm and he was more than happy to help me! Sainsburys helping others doesnt hurt!

It will be good idea if you increase self check out and change the layout of store

I went to this shop only to pick up argos order. I never have seen dirty grocery shop like this on before. I would never buy anything in there. Discounting and smelly this is how I can describe this place!

Bad service at self checkouts,

Half the machines don’t work.
The ones that do need a clean.

Staff at the checkout are overstretched at peak times.
