Scoop Durham

A student run no waste dry food grocery store! It's a great little shop. The staff are the ones handling the food (safely) wearing masks and gloves. Bring your own container is prefered, but they have some reusable things in case you don't have any. Prices compare to Tesco, but are package and guilt free! Only suggestion would be to be open more days a week, but it's worth adjusting your schedule for

A lovely eco-friendly store with yummy foods and other products such as detergent. I particularly love the dried mango, yoghurt raisins, and chocolate honeycomb:) The products are priced well and the staff are lovely.

Wonderful local student initiative that provides household goods and dried food (pasta, rice, coffee, tea, dried mango) for the same prices as Tesco but with no added plastic. Everyone was super friendly and kind in the store. I especially loved the charity idea and the ability to choose which charity to donate Scoop Durham's profits to! Definitely visit again!

Amazing little shop! The students provide great service and great products. It is always a rewarding experience to shop with Scoop and browse the range of products on offer. I will continue to go back every week!

Such a lovely environment when you walk in! The people who work there are so nice and friendly and make you feel so at home whenever in the store! Very meaningful ethos and definitely worth supporting
