Tesco Express

On the plus points is the good variety of items. The shop is bigger than it looks from the outside and inside it's well stocked especially of foodstuff, fruits and veg.

On the downside. Although there's a reasonable sized area of lunch food, though not exactly full of variety and I'm surprised that in even in the evenings, it almost full. The staff don't seem to keep the place clean and tidy. The few times I've been in there's cardboard boxes strewn about,

Incomprehensibly lazy staff! Cite their opening hours as "7am - 11pm", but never once seen it open before 7:20am, and they're in a rush to hurry you out by 10:45; compromising basic acceptable work conduct in the process. Deliveries also only twice a week (if even that!). Wouldn't trust the stock to be fresh.

The store may look small from the outside but it is quite big inside providing a huge selection of products within! The Customer Service is very good at this store! However, most of the self checkouts are card only so I would suggest that they allow cash in those self checkouts. The meal deal aisle is excellent providing varieties of food for the £3 Meal Deal! For an Express Store the bakery is very good and they do maintain a high quality of the food. The store is located behind Aldgate Station

This store always has very good customer service even during busy times!! Some workers called Hamza and Raju always show me where things are and display a friendly customer service. The store is well stocked and looks clean :) I'm a happy regular customer and as my local tesco quite proud of the service, will recommend to anybody working or living in the local vicinity!!

Convenient Tesco but limited items. Grab your lunch at 11 because it goes quickly!!

Why so many empty shelves? Popped in on Sunday afternoon at 3pm for some simple items, all of which were unstocked. I asked the guy stocking shelves to help me find a bottle of still water (as the shelf was entirely empty) and he reluctantly helped me, stating that all the still water was 'at the bottom of the cages,' so he was totally inconvenienced. Zero toiletry and beauty items (another empty shelf) and not one carrier bag at the tills. When I asked a staff member why the shop was so poorly stocked, he said 'Blame Brexit.' No... more like blame the apathetic staff and lack of management. Try the well-stocked Sainsbury's right around the corner and skip this place entirely.

They usually have the sandwich I like. Good size store but could do better with bakery.
