Good for quick shopping essentials and open later than Tesco Express stores most nights. More expensive than the main stores. My issue is that people fill up with fuel, leave the car at the pump and go to do a small shop in Tescos store resulting in queues at the pumps and there always seems to be a 4 or more person queue at the tills. There are 2 cash points here too.

The Tesco express on Tonbridge Road has the nicest and friendliest staff of any shop in Maidstone and is definitely the best Tesco for absolute miles. It is always busy the shelves are always full and the staff seem to get on well and have a laugh.

The sign says (open every day till midnight) even here in google says close midnight but when I went there they shut the doors 22:55 and kicked the customers out I was shocked because I was already inside, when I went to pay one of the lady was rude to me,
This place does not follow their own opening and closing time that they choose to be, how they will respect their customers

TESCOS ESSO EXPRESS - Really Helpfull Opening Time's From 6am Till Midnight 👍. Cash Machine:IN SERVICE (19/01/21) It's has a wide range of great products from daily fresh to frozen foods and friendly staff makes this a Four Star. Should of been Five Stars but the ATM out of service is not helpful. Can be a wasted journey and a slight lose of in-store sales!? . Although I reckon this is the highest earning T.Express store in maidstone

Keep locking people out 11.15pm when there open till 12 try the say staff Shortage no it's so thay can cash up Early and leve bang on 12 arr wots the matter takes u 45 min to do it so u normally leve at 12.45 your problem if u dont get payed after 12 learn to count faster

Everything you'd expect from a Tesco Express garage. Normally well stocked. Closes as midnight and has a cash machine. You can get parcels delivered there too.
If you're just after fuel, expect to wait or go elsewhere, as the queues will be taken up with people shopping.
August 2022 Update: the unnecessary music is back, there are now 4 super sensitive self service checkouts which can't cope with items being put into a bag. Often long queues to be served by a human.
