Tesco Esso Express

I was there 5 mins earlier ( Friday 15th around 7 pm) to fuel my car and buy some milk. 2 men, together in front of me in the store had no masks and were talking to each other and one of the walking also talking on the phone. The security never questioned about the masks. When I asked the cashier , the answer was - "they could be exempt ". Really? Could be exempt? What is the point of your security who is hiding in the corner towards the cooking oil and fruit and vege if he can't be bothered standing at the door to check on these things? Business and individual like this has really put people's lives at risk . Take it seriously. People are losing loved ones

16/02/2022 service levels have dropped considerably… I use this station/ shop weekly to fill my car and grab a few bits & bobs from the shop! However recently on Wednesday around 06:10 I had decided to get 2x lasagne’s as it’s the usual 2x for £5 deal but when I got to the till to pay for my fuel & the coffee that was at this point still being made in the Costa coffee machine the gent had decided to charge me for both lasagne’s individually at full price & seemed to act suspicious when I took note on the screen as he totalled everything up… as I was in a rush i thought I’m willing to overlook this incident as I was still unsure if it was done in error or intentionally! Went to get my now finished coffee popped a lid on and walked off but managed a few steps when I realised half the coffee I had picked up was streaming out the bottom of the cup! So naturally I had asked staff to be aware of the slip hazard to which they didn’t seem bothered and point out the obvious coffee cup situation! Again both staff behind the till couldn’t be bothered and laughed off the incident as they said the cups were made in china and said I could have another cup if I wanted. I pointed out the fact that I had just had half my coffee pour out onto the floor trusting that customer service would eventually kick in but unfortunately both just though the situation to be a good laugh so as rather than beg for a new coffee that I had paid for I decided that it’s not worth my effort to have to deal with such incompetence and cut my losses & just left.

So not only ripped off but fobbed off too!

Bad attitude by manager. They don’t do returns without any receipts even its on the same day even won’t bother to look into the system once. Never had this kind of experience before. Never suggest this store to anyone.

Is very clean find everything you need ,only some two missing points:veggies are not too great and you need waiting long time on queue means fast you are being pushed to move front with your goodies after you buy it ..And that's not big blue trolleys to could put more on basket..

Some of the staff and security are horrible people. Customers will be allowed in before closing time but as soon as you grab all your items before midnight they switch off tills and kick you out. Security working there is extremely aggressive and a nasty piece of work. Shift lead has no management skills and Surinder needs some serious customer service training, definitely should not be working around anyone. Unacceptable to be shouting in peoples faces then refuse to give your name. Complaining to management won’t get you anywhere, management clearly don’t care and wont respond. However the Tesco in woodgrange is the top quality. Staff need to be supervised. Entire establishment is appaling such a shame, do better!!!

We shop here every Sunday morning and find the staff very friendly and helpful. We look forward to seeing our usual Sunday crew! The Manger is always hands on and takes the time to greet us. My only gripe is the self serve tills.....whoever decided to put them where they are need to think again worst place ever!

When I arrived at the Tesco store 15 minutes before it closed, the staff treated me rudely and told me to grab my items quickly. When I got to the checkout, I had a problem with my payment, and the cashier became irate with me. I simply told them to wait for a moment, but they didn't seem to care. They simply restock the goods, shut the counter, and tell me to leave. The worst experience I've ever had. Do your best to improve Tesco's personnel! terrible humiliation

Worse service ever
They steal ur change most of the time and act rude when you ask for it back.
The shelves are almost empty everyday something needs to change!!
The coffee machine is always in service rarely works.
The staff are so so rude
Make sure if you are going check you're change when you receive it
