Tesco Express

Crowded little Tesco with narrow aisles and lots of people, but it has a good selection og products and has 3 self service checkouts as well as 2 cashiers.

I have been using this store since the COVID-19 outbreak and am dismayed by the lax attitude displayed by certain staff members in regard to social distancing. Two weeks in a row the same member of staff unlocked the doors and then walked away without indicating whether it was okay to enter the store. After a moment's confusion and hesitation from those who were queuing outside, everybody attempted to enter the store at once.

This morning the same member of staff decided that they were going to have a conversation with a customer while blocking a T-junction, leaving other customers to squeeze past. If any one of us had COVID-19, we likely all have it now.

There is no sanitation station, as I have seen in other branches of Tesco Express.

Very rude person called Micheal who started huffing & puffing & pulling an indignant face when I asked if he could help me at the self service till that said needed staff code input assistance, store was very busy & he could see that assistance was needed as he was arranging the flower section right next to tills, after taking a few minutes to decide wether he wanted to help or not he came over & scanned his staff card, see it wasn’t that hard was it Micheal helping a customer.

Good old Tescos Metro, with lots of parking outside on the road. Managed to get some massive bananas here - literally the size of a boomerang = five stars no brainer!

I would like to thank the manager and his staff for being so helpful yesterday. I fell over and banged my head and nose. The manager and a young girl came out straight away to clean me up and the mess on the pavement Got me a chair and made sure I was fit and able to get home. You were both very professional and understanding. Again a big thank for your help. I would like this to go to the Area Manager To show them what brilliant staff they have in Thorpe Bay

Well stocked store.

When I had issues with the scanning machine and when I couldn’t find a particular item. The staff kindly helped me. Helpful and friendly staff.
