Not the closest Tesco to me, but the best of all the ones I've used around the Aldgate area. Mainly because it's got the best selection of vegetarian options (for what it's worth). The fresh fruit, vegetables and bakery sections are good.

HORRIBLE!!!!
It is a complete DISASTER, all the boxes are in the middle of the aisles, fridges are broken. It is impossible to access some of the products as the staff leave the trolleys in the middle or in front of them.
It is so stressful as people is just lost trying to reach products or avoiding trolleys and boxes that are in the middle of the shop.

This Tesco is the best for COVID spread. It is my local Tesco and every time I shop there, there is at least 5 people not wearing a mask. I mentioned it to the security person at the entrance at many occasions but no one seems to care. So I will document here all my trips. See the pictures from this evening, there is even a guy with no mark walking past security without the guard saying anything:

Selection is very poor and lacks the essentials, the shelves don't get stocked often, freezers are broken.

Why do the fridge doors never close? I’ve stopped buying meat and fish here now. Also checkout makes no sense. The ‘normal’ check out areas are for people paying cash, but it doesn’t say this anywhere and I wasn’t allowed to use it even though there was no one else waiting to pay. So the cashier preferred to sit there on his own and not serve me. Meanwhile there was a long queue for the six or so self check out tills. In addition, there’s never enough space to put the things you’ve bought, let alone pack.

I have bought a few things from here which were not fresh including chicken breasts which smelled really strong and tasted off, and double cream which had gone sour and solid. These products were in date. There is a good range of products in the shop but clearly there is a problem with keeping the food fresh at this location.

This is a worst Tesco I have ever visited. The staffs are very arrogant and never helps the customers with their query. They always gossips each other without helping the customers. Most of their aisles are always empty especially milk section. They never fill up the empty items. I am one of the regular customer of this Tesco. This is the only supermarket near my area where I could buy some essential things otherwise I will never visit this store. When I check the store product availability in their app many items show in stock but if we go there, there won’t be anything. If we ask they won’t even listen and sometimes will say we don’t have in stock. Also tills are always empty with the cashier and have to wait ages for someone to do the checkout. There is no cleanliness in this store, always looks dirty

Used to love this place. Almost everything I need. Sainsbury’s has a LOT more than this store. Also they topped their PRICE by 1 or 2p. Didn’t exactly like the idea as everyone likes Tesco because of the low price. I agree with Arnould G, one of the people who wrote a review on here about the same store as this. 60% of the people that shop here has no masks. They have masks but they DON’T wear it. Like why would you bring a mask if you’re not even gonna wear it. It. Is. Protection. Some people may not wear a mask because of religious reasons and I respect that. But if you don’t have a reason you are harming other and yourself. This is not 2019. This is 2021.
