A very polite and helpful young man called Ethan helped me to find the right item I needed. He was extremely friendly too, mentioning our Scottish accents and telling us about his family! What a credit to your company he is! Even though the store was busy and it is a stressful time of the year, he had good cheer and a welcoming attitude! 5 stars to Ethan!

Food is always good, if a little pricey sometimes. No one-way system in operation which they should have currently, surely? However, they don't supply order splitters at the checkout, as they'd need to be cleaned frequently. Other supermarkets seem fine with those...

This store is first class if your a celiac. The Gluten free range is really good. The M&S bread makes great sandwiches & toast. The chillier cabinet has fish in breadcrumbs & the chicken steaks in breadcrumbs are fantastic. I also love the gluten free pork pie & sausage rolls. M&S do the best Gluten free sandwiches & this store usually has the full range of GF sandwiches & raps

I ordered a cake for collection to this store. Unfortunately due to timing my return flight got amended meaning I couldn’t collect the cake in time for my dads 70th birthday celebrations. Sometimes on collection you don’t get asked anything, sometimes show your card or get full interrogation so I covered all angles by writing a letter to go with my order print out, a copy of my driving licence and a copy of the card I used. The letter explained the situation, I authorised my mum to pick up etc she had her ID too, to confirm her name. The very unhelpful lady told my mum she wouldn’t give her the cake without me confirming my telephone number. This argument went on for a while, with the woman being unhelpful and unwilling to use all the documents I’d provided anticipating I might get on a Karen on so called customer service! So on a scorching hot day my mum drove the 6 miles home to write down my phone number, drove back the 6 miles and paid again for parking to give this miserable woman my number. She then handed over the cake. What an awful experience, who did she think was going to commit impersonation fraud for a cake! So my mum drove 12 miles more than needed and paid twice for parking during a heatwave and at a time when the price of petrol is sky high. You should be ashamed of yourselves M&S, putting Karen Jobsworth on customer services was a very poor decision. She should be in the back filling pallets keeping her unhelpful ways to herself! This will be the last time I use you for any food orders now.

Still not changed!! in 2021. Still v unhappy with the plastic mountain on M & S shelves (M&S West Bridgford!). Check out assistants still ask as routine if shoppers need a plastic bag - the so called 'bags for life' dolled out even for 1 item. Loose onions and potatoes run out - plastic wrapped onions stay on the shelf which shows how customers don't want plastic packaging. These bags are toxic, and last for life literally! As bad - are the countless unnecessary single use plastic packed items; avocados, apples, cabbage, rhubarb to name but 4 of hundreds. I thought we were lucky to have this shop locally, and appreciated good service, but witnessing the ongoing ignorance in the light of this well documented environmental disaster is depressing - there is no excuse for it. Educated customers want change but we arent getting it, and why not in an affluent area like this. We all know what plastic is doing to our world why don't M&S?.

LOVED meeting Carl/Karl, apologies, we didn’t get the chance to ask how his name was spelt. What a LOVELY man, thank you for the help at the checkout.
