I visited ASDA last night after travelling back from London and got there at 21:50. I rushed around the store getting the few items I needed.
When I came to the checkout, I was the last person, and was met by a horrid rude female member of staff who snapped at me asking didn't I hear the 3 announcements that she had put out.
I tried not to respond but she was very aggressive and rude. I get that she wanted to go home, as i did too after a 14 hour day, but she was out of order.
I waved to her on the way out and she started spouting on about having to be back there at 6am in the morning. I could hear her ranting and mouthing off as I was leaving the store. I didn't get her name but her colleagues will know who this is as I can imagine that by her disgusting and aggressive behaviour, that this will not be the first time she's treated customers like this.
I have been a long standing customer of ASDA for many years, but will not now step foot in that place again.
I understand that there are staff shortages everywhere, but why would you tolerate a member of staff with this attitude.
I didn't respond to this woman's rants, as I did not wish to stoop down to her level.
All of the other staff that I've dealt with over the years have been amazing, especially the lovely lady with the tattoos. It's just this 1 bad apple that has lost you a regular customer. I will now stick to Aldi and perhaps Lidl too.

Management: Please take the appropriate action!

Asda supermarket at Norwich Hall Road is close to City Centre. Allow maximum 4 hours duration of parking. Most of the products prices are lowered than other supermarkets, like Morrisons, Tesco, etc. Asda Cafe is located on upper floor offer pizza, sandwiches and drinks. Take a short break there with spacious sitting area.

My life felt somewhat empty before entering this bastion of hope. It was like all my dreams had collided into a singularity and I could wish for nothing more... I could purchase a lettuce... I could purchase a pair of pants... I could even purchase decongestant... And I could pay for these at one check out... A truly life changing experience, I could hope.. nay dream for no more...

*Good Shop* but some own brand items are disappearing 😢 which were good quality and priced item's, plus some stock lines also gone 👎. Staff could have improved knowledge of the placement of stock but are always polite.

Over the past month this store has gone from bad to worse.shelves are under stocked there is never any frozen chips, freezers are bare, tills are badly organised. On shopping there this morning I had to cue for ages then waiting for assistance on self service the staff were to busy talking to take any notice, then moving on to the lottery till 1 girl serving with a cue of a dozen in it. Iwas so happy when this store opened and always gave it my custom. But sorry asda but I and many other people I know are now moving on to tesco. They are fully stocked and polite not like the 3 staff standing at the checkout chewing gum .very poor!!!

Main store: A selection of reasonably priced fresh produce, free from options and vegan frozen foods during veganuary
However, the cafe upstairs is a total letdown. Jacket potato with beans was the only vegan option and served with absolutely no finesse whatsoever. To top off this disaster of a shopping trip, the toilets are disgusting... please see photo 🤢
My advice would be, have your lunch at Costa on the same site, then do your weekly shop.

Ps... thanks Asda, not!... for replying about the Vegan choices but completely ignoring the comments about your toilets ...??????

I shop in the hall road branch of asda several times a week and have done since it first opened but recently I've noticed that by the time I get there after work, usually between 6 and 7pm, a lot of items i would usually buy have been out of stock. I had assumed that this was a supply issue but yesterday a member of staff told me that the reason for this is because the home delivery staff start work at 3.00am so by the time the shop opens to the public loads of items are already sold out. Not everybody does home shopping, particularly pensioners, and if the procurement team are too stupid to realise that they need to increase the size of the orders on certain items they will soon start to lose customers to other stores. I like asda but there's only so many times that you can drive to tesco just to buy the things that were out of stock before you decide to do your whole shop there especially when there's a large branch of tesco about half a mile from asda.

Terrible....cheese and tomato toasted sandwich was a dairylee triangle and pasta sauce slapped on cheap bread. The cheese and ham toastie had the nastiest piece of ham I've ever seen. Service was slow, staff barely acknowledged our existence.....won't be going back
