Staff very helpful. Store always clean and well presented. Car park well looked after. There is an Argos store within Sainsburys Colchester Ave, which is very handy. Nectar points cards can be linked to Argos so the customer can keep collecting.

A bit disappointed by this store. Haven't been for a while but there wasn't the array of fresh food options that I'd remembered. The food I did buy was great quality but it didn't feel like there was as much choice. Also, there's no cafe there at the moment! Lovely clothes and homeware and good selection of toys but overall disappointed by this store!

Sometimes they have some pretty decent stuff there but other times it's dire

This sainsbo is pretty good to be fair, there’s a petrol station, Argos and wilkos on site. The scan as you go thing is great; it’s basically like ZapZone but all the enemies are food or household items.

Have to take off one star because the shop floor is huge and they employ the standard “essentials at the back” technique which forces you to walk through aisles and aisles of stuff you don’t need or want. It’s a bit of a mission if you’re near the checkout and remember you’ve forgotten an item.

I don't shop here often, quite pricey but good quality and range of fresh food, vegan and veggie. Much better than most supermarkets. Layout of the store a bit confusing, spent ages trying to find what I wanted and few staff around to help. Very helpful, knowledgeable staff when I found one.

Sainsbury's (Colchester Avenue) is great for fresh produce i.e fruit and vegetables. The aisles are always neat and tidy and well set out. The bakery is far better than most supermarkets and the bread is delicious. The home section is lovely - well maintained with good quality products and the clothing section is also very good. Quality comes at a price however.

Larger supermarkets have a wider range of products but that's to be expected due to size. I would give a higher rating but Sainsbury's is still more expensive overall than other supermarkets. I've seen TV adverts about Sainsbury's price matching with Lidl.... But price matching 15(ish) products out of thousands? Have you ever won the crown for cheapest supermarket?

My only real niggles apart from prices are the lack of loose produce - I'll give leeks as an example, I never use a whole pack..but I could give a long list. My family and I, like many, have different tastes. I love cherry tomatoes but might only want 5 or 6 - I don't want a whole pack. You get the picture. I'm just hoping the manager reads this.... Loose produce = less waste. I hate waste...

Also, a lot of bakery items sell out quickly. I'm mainly talking about loose, unpackaged items in baskets. A lot of people can't shop until mid, late afternoon or evening... please bake more of the items that fly out of the baskets. A range of half loaves of bread in the main bread aisle would also be appreciated.

I am also finding that the Nectar rewards are not what they used to be. I rarely get coupons with my receipt now... It seems they give you less the more you shop there? I hadn't been for a long time and when I "returned" I received coupons for points or money off fuel for e.g every time I shopped. But now I shop there more regularly, I rarely get a magic orange coupon.

Went yesterday to get a vegan alternative to turkey for Christmas, looks good but didn't have what was advertised online but that's the luck of the draw I suppose, however I bought a bag of onions and out of 7, 3 were rotting already!
