Asda Newport Pillgwenlly Superstore

Good place to shop. Prices are competitive, never enough staff on the tills though. Also a distinct lack of trolleys, have had to go searching the car park.

In all my experience of shopping; I have never seen a supermarket with about a dozen trolleys to an entire store. Their excuse is they have all been stolen and we are awaiting new ones that have been delayed! I have been hearing this same excuse since March this year. When I complained about this at recent visit; the staff looked at me in surprise. Although, I have no experience in retail management, I advise ASDA implement sophisticated security for when the new trolleys eventually appear.
In the interim, they will surely lose customers. I for one will not be going to the store any longer. How they expect customers to shop without trolleys is beyond me!!!

I have always loved shopping at Asda love the products and the prices but the last couple of times I have shopped in this store there has only been two tills open . Long queue’s , customers all complaining about the same thing , they don’t want self service tills 😡 . Self service tills also got long queues as people need help not enough staff . Come on Asda go back to being a customer focused supermarket or you are going to lose customers !

Simply good products at reasonable prices. Ideally situated. Ample carparking. Good security. Festivity bound atmosphere. Fresh vegetables and flowers. Family-friendly. Loyalty card. Home delivery. Really good store that has a good selection of items for the size especially of non food items. Staff are friendly and helpful.

We went to Asda Cafe and I noticed straight away how clean it was. We ordered our food which didn't take long and the food was lovely!
I highly recommend it. I have no complaints at all!!😊

Asda that has everything from halal produce to kitchen hardware.
Items are reasonably priced. I did shop at Aldi on the following week to find the bill was the same as Asda. I will be sticking here.

A regular store me and my family visit. This ASDA is enormous and contains a wide choice of products. The store is always quite clean and well-stocked to provide for the large amount of customers that are always here.
The ASDA also contains both clothing and a café as well as groceries. The staff in all of these areas are quite nice and helpful throughout your visit.
