Sainsbury's

It's a Sainsbury's so there's good produce and polite, friendly staff. Visited here whilst on holiday and they had everything we needed. The staff very kindly ordered us a taxi to get us back to our holiday let after we'd walked there and didn't fancy carrying the shopping back ourselves.

Unfortunately Sainsbury's along with the Co-op have the monopoly in Lampeter. And therefore prices can be higher than others And selection is limited.
My main bug bear is the temperature inside the shop. A couple of weeks ago (bearing in mind we are in the summer) my fingers turned white with cold. And I always wear a jacket or coat irrespective of how warm it is outside. I appreciate there are open fridges but no other shop is as cold.

They have a good range of goods for a small supermarket, shelves are well stocked and presented. Staff are helpful and friendly. It's a bit more expensive than larger supermarkets, but no more so than other smaller stores.

The staff are fantastic but I'm getting fed up with head office removing things from the range stocked at this store....After being a loyal Salisbury's customer for over 25 years and this particular store for the last 6 years, I have now started supplementing my shopping from other Supermarkets. Unfortunately the store managers are left out of the decision process regarding items to stock and this is not a shortage issue due to supply or Covid problems.

Another issue that has arisen is the removal of Covid screens at the self checkouts...I assume that they care about their staff as the staffed checkout screens have remained..as usual head office instructions mean that customers come last.

Just a note...it is very rare for me to post a bad review...the proof is in my profile and again I would like to reiterate that the staff are wonderful...but head office are making decisions that will see customers leave in droves if the Aldi opens (currently seeking planning permission).

Update 02/10/22....The range stocked at this store is getting worse. To put this in perspective, I used to do 95% of my shopping here, I would say it's now dropped to 10%. There are online options to get the products I want from other supermarkets. And local options to get meat and fish.

All the staff are fantastic!!

Shop was really cold. Cardboard and packaging out over tills and only one open. Very limited options. Just all felt a bit sad really. On a positive note, the staff were helpful and friendly.

Parking spaces annoying , small and not many of them. Other than that, a nice store and a lovely, positive and helpful lady served us on the till.

Very very small car park which is paid! I couldn't find a car space so I cannot comment on the products quality or availability.
