Pitta Souvlaki

Saw this place in town the other night and thought it looked good and attractively fitted out. Went there tonight with the family and it was excellent, delicious chicken gyros and pork souvlaki all washed down with my favourite Greek beer. Friendly staff and good service, I felt like I was in Greece in the middle of Maidstone

We were in Maidstone to do a bit of shopping and found Pitta Souvlaki on Google. Normally we travel to Eastbourne for our ‘Gyros’ fix . But the food here was out of this world. Would highly recommend the Gyros Plate. At £12.95 you would think it’s a little expensive , but you get a huge plate of food for your money. The food was piping hot, not greasy , and cooked just like in Greece. The staff are so helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back

one Saturday night we popped in to order our food for take-out rather than wait for delivery and saw these guys in action. They were super busy, but did everything they can to make their customers happy. We waited for about 35min but it was worth it.
Food is very homey and rich of flavor.

Popped in for a quick bite at lunchtime and picked the Chicken Skepaste to share. Gotta say it was piping hot, delicious, and very filling.
Will be back to try some more items from the menu.

Have tried 3 times now, first two were excellent, last time not so good. Barely any salad and chips were not seasoned as they usually are. Chicken did not taste very nice and to top it off they did not include the lovely tzatziki sauce. Might have been a one-off bad night but at £10 (£40 for a family) there should be no excuses in my opinion. Not sure if I will try again.

Halloumi burger- so disappointed. Called and ordered to collect , explained on the phone I didn’t want tomato or sauce . Collected and it was ready which was great and server was really friendly. Got home to open the package( lovely packaging) the burger bun is too small for the burger and is not a brioche bun, there was no pepper in it as described in the menu and it was absolutely covered in mayo and mustard mayo , I called the restaurant and they apologised and did offer to make and deliver a new one which I felt was a very good response. We went through how I wanted the burger again and it was at my door within 20 minutes , the restaurant was really apologetic and gave a free dessert which again I feel was a lovely touch. Sadly when I opened the burger there was still no pepper but the had removed the sauce. Chips need cooking just a couple more minutes and they were Luke warm both times .

The response from the restaurant was excellent but sadly the food was just so disappointing.

I would highly recommend, very reasonable for money. The portion size is perfect along with wonderful taste of Greece in Maidstone. Very polite staff and good service.
