Steer clear of this company. We booked them months in advance of our May wedding to serve our evening food of tacos. We were very excited to book with them. About a month beforehand my husband got in touch with them to confirm numbers and logistics but had to chase for a reply. We heard from them that the trailer we booked was unroadworthy and couldn't be fixed - no solutions. We panicked with only 4 weeks to go (not exactly what you want just before a wedding) and our day caterers said they could cater for us instead. However Gourmet Griddle then contacted my husband again with a 'foolproof' solution involving bringing the trailer to our venue before the wedding and pre cooking at home and bringing the food over.
Then comes the evening of our wedding and our venue apologetically tells us they've tried to get in touch with Gourmet Griddle, had spoke to them in the morning because they didn't deliver the trailer when they should have and then hadn't heard from them all day.
The stress and upset this cause is something no one should have to go through on their wedding day. My husband and I then started frantically emailing, ringing and Facebooking Gourmet Griddle and heard nothing. I started worrying we'd been conned out of our money. Our caterer saved the day by giving some extra bits of food they happened to have but I was furious we could be let down by a supplier that promotes themselves as professional and a good business.
The next day we finally heard some lame excuse about an illness in the family and leaving his phone at home with quite frankly a pathetic apology. That explains why the trailer never turned up did it? And was it impossible to get someone to contact us or the venue in this day and age to say he couldn't make it?
Unprofessional liars. Avoid at all costs. They don't deserve any business to do that to someone on their wedding day.
