Just had my second takeaway from Piccadelhi, I am very happy. I eat a lot of Indian food, and quite a handy cook of the cuisine too. The quality of the food is very good.

The briyani is a proper briyani, what I mean by that is it's not just rice with some food coloring like a lot of takeaways. This is a proper layered rice dish, which results in a very flavoursome dish.
The aloo gob and bombay aloo was nicely spiced and well cooked. A word of warning on these potatoes dish, don't expect them to be a saucy curry like other places. I do like a saucy bombay aloo /gobi but I appreciate that this is their style.

I had a palak Panner which was tasty, a pureed spinach sauce, again well spiced.

I also ordered a chilli chicken and a chilli Panner. This is my favourite dish, the indo-chinese flavour to this dish was exactly what I was after. Notes of soy sauce and garlic complimented the marinated paneer. Finally, i had the chicken makani. The chicken was very tender and the sauce very rich with tomato and cream.
A nice touch with the complimentary sweets.

I will say that the makani was quite oily/ghee and this will put some people off. The naan bread was quite small and not as fluffy and fresh as i like it.

I think some people might find the portion sizes - of the curries - on the small size.

I am very happy to have this takeaway since my previous favourite popadom (On Hamlet court Road) closed about 2 years ago.

I will be ordering again soon.

I'm not one to leave a review but me and my girlfriend had such a wonderful experience i found myself simply unable not too.

We are both vegetarians and like most people have found ourselves ordering more takesway's than we should! The choice normally being chinese or pizza, we were keen to try more indian cuisine but could not find anywhere in our area willing or able to accomodate us with any interesting dishes, until we found piccadelhi!

I decided to ring, as my girlfriend wanted a vegetarian korma that was not on the menu; the lady who answered was more than happy to accomadate us and was very pleasant, we dont know much about indian food and was looking for a new culinary experience and she patiently reccomended some dishes and explained what they were.

The food come promptly, and we were delighted! The portion sizes were great and the food flavoursome and delicous, it was my first experience with many of the dishes, including paneer which was a lovely replacement for tofu. Also it had cute notes written on the dishes and from phone to delivery the service was very warm and plesant, highly reccomend.
