The Green Kitchen - Bakery & Takeaway

We had four two layer dessert table cakes and one three layer wedding cake from Pat at TGK for our wedding, and Pat exceeded our expectations. We went to Pat with a specific style and theme and she managed to pull off what we wanted 100%. We had so many compliments that the vegan cakes tastes delicious (even from non-vegans) and they also looked beautiful! They were also really well priced!

I will definitely use The Green Kitchen again.

Such a lovely vegan cafe, lots of variety and beautiful made food. By far the best vegan pastry’s I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to go back and try more. Staff were wonderful and kind, helped me what to pick. Would 100% recommend and I will definitely return!

Amazing little vegan bakery. If you think eating vegan food is all rabbit food, cardboard and lettuce then get yourself here to be proved wrong. Visited while working in the area. Hope I work in Newport again soon. Note that they are closed Sunday - Wednesday.

Popped in a few times for some savoury bits for Lunch when working from home and it never disappoints. Pizza rolls are especially good. Basically the best vegan kitchen in Newport.

I have asked Patricia to make a true vegan chocolate cake as my wife is lactose intolerant. The cake was simply amazing, so fresh, prepared with care, my wife and our friends could not belive it is vegan.

Communication was speedy and the cake was ready in less that 48 hours, I got even an advise how to cut it with ease. Very though full.

We will be back for more of Patricia's magic, we are so happy to see busy local family run businesses and are excited to form a long cue of happy customers.

The best vegan bakes I've ever had. I recently ate the spicy Mediterranean savoury it was SIMPLY THE BEST. When you step foot on Cromwell Road, you smell the green kitchen bakes, they guide you to savouries and cakes that you wint regret buying. I'll continue coming back long as I'm able, they never disappoint ❤

This is an amazing little takeaway. The food we had was all fabulous and we were spoilt for choice. Love the home-made feel to it. And it's all vegan. Great prices too. And the owner is lovely. Can't recommend highly enough; wish I lived nearer.

TGK gives me those warm fuzzy feelings that you rarely get when walking into a business nowadays... It starts with a garlicy-tomatoey waft that hits you as you get out of the car to the sight of freshly baked muffins in busy little ovens right in front of you as you wait for your coffee. The independent family vibe of the place is so precious compared to larger commercial coffee chains in the area that I find so soulless. The super talented baker produces the tastiest homemade (vegan) food & its all so fresh. The business ethics are something I aspire to in my personal and business life and its clear that they have a genuine appreciation for their customers. Tucked away on the side streets of a city, I've never had a problem parking outside. If you are looking for homemade well priced vegan food and drink this is hands down the best takeaway in Wales.
