I called A1 Taxis to pick up myself and my dog from Hawridge to Chesham. We got a taxi within 10 minutes which was amazing. They couldn’t have been more accommodating and our driver was really respectful. I understand that transporting a dog isn’t the norm but the service provided by A1 Taxi’s was exemplary. Fantastic service - highly recommended.

Very happy with the service I received. Driver was polite and the vehicle was clean, he rang me before arriving to apologise for being a few minutes late due to temporary traffic lights. I was quoted a price, which I thought reasonable and stuck to that price even though we were stuck in traffic for 15 mins on the return journey. Would happily use them again.

Was normally charged 5 pounds then suddenly jumped to 8 pounds , guy on the couldnt even explain why. These companies are a rip off. Uber should be allowed here in amersham!!

Price was agreed by the phone £20 but when we arrive driver said it's £25.20. you should say in first place that charge will be what is on the meter 👎

Rip off merchants. Rang for a taxi from Amersham to Rickmansworth with a couple of drops, assumed it would be on a meter, turned out it was fixed price of £48 (total rip off) but wasn’t told that on the phone. Driver just said no private taxis use meters and that I should have asked, total rubbish. Rang the company to ask why I wasn’t told it was fixed price and again was told that I didn’t ask. Total rip off merchants, don’t use!

DO NOT USE THIS TAXI SERVICE - other reviews on here state the same experience I am about to outline. They rip you off and get you into a situation where you can not refuse as you are in the car on a journey!
We got in the cab as Zaza'a in Old Amersham and the taxi driver was trying to charge us over £40 for a trip to High Wycombe. I argued with the driver saying during peak an uber cost us £14 to which he argued this is not uber and the cost should have been discussed before hand. I was with my sisters and at a point we were worried we will be left stranded. When i asked to speak to his manager, he dialled a number (refused to give me the number) and put it on loud speaker. The person on the phone said that the cost was correct and it is time and a half as it was around 11pm to which I said so max £20 is what I am willing to give. He threatened to call the police and I was happy for him to do so. In fact I now wish I had done this myself and called the police as it was total harassment. In the end we had to pay £30 as I feared they now also know where I live! Disgusting, appalling behaviour. I have contacted Zazas and asked them to remove this company from their supplier list or recommendations to customers that dine there.

Very very bad service. Got a taxi from Little Kingshill to Chesham was quoted £14 then when it came to paying I was charged £16 and had £20 and the taxi driver didn't have change so he literally just said 'tough'. Driver was rude also and 30 mins late. Overpriced and the car was in a dirty old state. I
All for supporting local business' but unfortunately this service is nothing but lazy and ignorant, look forward to when Uber expands to Buckinghamshire, fair pricing, on time and less rude. I'm not one to moan about a few quid but to not have change and overprice the quote is rude and ignorant.
