Lovely cafe! It’s very nicely designed and decorated and super cute. Perfect for pictures. The drinks were nice and the cupcake I had was delicious! It’s the perfect place for afternoon tea!

Pretty little tea room in Berkhamstead. We had been to the Rex cinema just a short walk down the road from there and fancied a cuppa and cake just to finish off a lovely afternoon and before going home. We had just resigned ourselves to Costa or Nero because everything else was closed/closing when we found this little gem. The cafe is as pretty as the crockery and cakes. There is a lovely selection of teas (I had one with lychee and Rose- beautiful aroma and taste) and a good selection of coffees and cakes. The cakes were also as tasty as they were beautiful (mine was a peaches and cream cup cake- gorgeous).
I would have given this tea shop 5 stars but for the fact that the staff were very eager for us to leave. We arrived at 4.30 pm and were immediately told they closed at 5. That's fine we said we only want tea and cake. Our order was brought promptly and as described was lovely to look at and eat/drink. However the second we had finished eating our cakes the plates were whisked away. My husband finished his coffee quite quickly and again his cup and saucer were whisked away almost immediately although I was only just finishing my cup of tea. You can see that I had a whole pot of tea to drink and was really enjoying it.

The pleasure was spoiled by the impression being given that the 3 young ladies serving in the shop just wanted us to leave as soon as possible. Surely closing at 5 should mean they stop serving at 5, not that all customers must be served and finished and out. We felt rush

We may well return because the tea and cakes were delicious but I'm afraid the attitude of the staff did spoil the feel of the afternoon

Lovely place. We went for birthday afternoon tea which was absolutely delicious, cannot fail them at all. My husband arranged it as a surprise, the staff were incredibly helpful to him and went out of their way to make it a special experience. Very clean, stunning decor, highly recommended. Best afternoon tea I have had, and I’ve had many ❤️

Beautiful little place. Stopped by for a coffee and was greeted with a lovely smile from the waitress. They accommodated us and was advised if we would like food there would be a wait. Because it's a small popular place it's recommended to book in advance. Especially for afternoon tea etc. Highly recommend this quaint cafe

Lovely find on Berkhamstead High Street.Not local to the area spotted the shop and decided to pop. Their range of teas was unique and desserts were fresh seemed to be made on site a rare thing these days. The service was great also. I would most definitely return.

I am very disappointed, my partner and I have booked for an afternoon tea. The food was nice, but we have received a very small amount of lukewarm tea which we have finished before the food was even delivered. We had to order a second tea which was hot this time, but then again such a small amount. Nobody came to check if all was ok. Luton Hoo is nearly the same price but the sandwiches and teas are bottomless and the surrounding is stunning. I would not recommend and would not come again.

Exquisite afternoon tea, freshly brewed tea selection and good champagne! What else for an occasion or a relaxing week end. The interior designers were attentive to the finest of details and so were the service team making the experience utterly enjoyable
