The cream tea was delicious. Lovely warmed scones, fruit or plain with jam and clotted cream. Large teapot of tea and great cappuccinos. Friendly staff, great location.

The staff were friendly, a bit awkward to start with which coulddd be interpreted as rude or begrudging but didn't bother us much. The food and drinks were lovely and so was the little garden at the back. Would definitely go back and reccomend a visit!

I recommend. The lady who took the order was very nice. Everything tasted very good. Delicious hot chocolate.

Took my lovely client here for lunch. I presumed giving the location and the name “tearoom” in Warwick would mean a place to chill with a cup of fresh tea and coffee in a friendly atmosphere…unfortunately this was not the case. The older lady who served us should not work in customer service. She was almost reluctant to serve us as if we were a burden to be spending our time and money in here. Very rude, no atmosphere and outdated. I feel embarrassed that I took someone here on the hopes of a nice easy lunch, but it felt very awkward and hard work to even order food.

Many times we tried to start conversation with her as it was awkward and she acted like she couldn’t care less and wanted us to leave.

The food was mediocre that looked very half arsed and something I could of done very easily at home with a pre cooked pack of chicken. It is so simple to present a toasted sandwich in a nice way, but that was so off the mark sadly.

Will not be coming again, such a shame it takes up a great space in the town that could have great potential if taken over. Hate to do this to a business but my client was really upset about it and has spoke about it ever since.

Ok but plenty of better places nearby. Mediocre food, no atmosphere, drab, and very slow service- 15 minutes for our drinks despite no other customers!
For a small independent cafe it really needs to try harder. Disappointing.

Having stumbled out of the West door of St. Mary's Church, in rather a dazed state after the bombardments of its infamously strident pipe organ, the need for refreshments led me just across the road to the Apple Tree Tearooms - the first tea room I spotted. With the need for those refreshments being so urgent, nearby alternatives were not considered, online reviews not read (perhaps a fortunate eventuality); it was a spontaneous visit. It was quite late in the afternoon and the tea room was mostly empty. Service was fairly prompt and polite, the cream tea very good, and the general experience much enhanced by the inclusion of a well-maintained garden to consume all of this. In fact, there are four distinct eating areas for different weather conditions: Enclosed street-side tables (of the continental type); indoor seating; outdoor seating at the rear, enclosed in a marquee-style structure, and the aforementioned garden. This rear area is mostly enclosed from nearby roads so is very quiet, although it is abutted by the New Street car park.
The style of the tea rooms seems quite old-fashioned, despite the relatively modern furniture, and at the time of visit there was not much in the way of "atmosphere". Neither of those observations are necessarily negative, for some customers have already had an overdose of "atmosphere" elsewhere and wish to be treated to a truly "vanilla" experience; without the blaring of popular music, exposed electrical conduit everywhere you look, and waitresses whirling about on roller skates.
So overall - this is a tea room which succeeds in the fundamentals you expect, and leaves out the frills and noise... perfect for those with ears still ringing from the "Trompeta Real" across the road!

We ordered 2 sandwiches and drinks. Both sandwiches were amazing. Brie and grape. Ham and mustard. Service was excellent too. Sat in the garden out the back. Lovely. Just what we needed.

Lovely place for a pot of tea and sandwich. Beautiful garden in the bright sunshine on a November afternoon.
