A nice clean place with tasty hot food. Only few options to choose from, but it is a wonderful experience to sit and eat lunch here in this tea room.

I wish I took some photos of the food I was served. I chose the French Onion soup and Veggie Roll, and had a Hot Chocolate to drink. A relative had the Lamb Cawl I think it's called. Well, the food was remarkably delicious. The ingredients were high quality and most importantly it is all cooked fresh to order hence the 10 minute wait (very reasonable wait time too for a fresh meal). The Veggie Roll is apparently a favourite - it's now my favourite. Fresh pastry, so soft and crumbly, and filled with vegetables. Beautiful.

However, it's not just the food that makes this place deserve a 5 star rating. It's the service. The lady who welcomes you is one of the nicest people I've met, ready to enlighten you about the Ladies of Llangollen. It sounds very interesting and I will be back to explore the house once it's reopened. Likewise the gentleman who serves you at the till is probably the best waiter I've ever met. Polite, conversational, helpful. The place is full of genuinely friendly people. In a society where genuine friendliness is near-forgotten (I do not absolve myself of this criticism), come here, rest up and enjoy yourself.

As for the grounds, wow. The one plus side to Covid is that you can eat lunch on the lawn! After ordering, all tables outside were taken. The waiter offered to bring us a table and chairs by himself. Very, very generous.

I will definitely be back. Thank you!

A delightful cafe at a great historic venue. We had the home-made soup, which was gorgeous. Service was excellent and it was a great place to visit with dogs (although they are not, understandably, allowed in the house). Really enjoyed our visit.

Appalling!! As a local I took some friends here. The server was abrupt & rude whilst ordering. The teapots & cups were dirty. No scones available at 3pm The cakes were dry & inedible. When asked if all was ok we pointed out the disgusting state of the teapots insides were Black. Cups were questionably marked. Runs all down spout & the same surly server asked if all was ok.We pointed out state of teapots & she said they were bleached everyday. They hadn’t seen bleach for years!
Cannot possibly recommend.

I visited a while ago with my husband. The food and service were excellent. I had the frittata, it was just great homely food. Very reasonably priced too, we definitely plan to visit again when we're next in the area

I just wanted to say a huge 'THANK YOU for taking care of our guest Mrs Gardner on saturday. She was on a guided tour of the area with our driver and had asked for a light lunch with views. She said the food and service were above and beyond and made her day. Thank you so much. Chris, North Wales Guided Tours

Always nice to visit here. Lovely food and reasonably priced. Very helpful staff. Room to sit outside undercover in the courtyard or outside seating on the lawn.
