The Zen Garden

Wonderful place. Excellent service. Good cooking. We were treated to fizzy wine and delicious sweets when we mentioned our wedding anniversary.

The Zen garden is tucked away around the back of Carey’s manor hotel, next to the spa. Its the main restaurant used by spa guests in the day. Zen is probably a place to go for a more quiet and relaxing meal. The food is testy, and there is a selection for vegetarian options which is good. I was disappointed that I couldn’t have a Thai curry without fish sauce as it’s my favourite. The other options were good though, and a spicy veg and tofu dish with chilli, which I asked for...extra hot! was delicious! One tip... the waitress needs to learn how to pour drinks with bubbles, as she was over spilling all our glasses and I had to take over. Overall the staff were helpful, especially the gentleman staff member. Sorry I don’t know his name.

Had a really lovely meal last night. Each table has a room divider between it so you have a good level of privacy and Covid protection.

Staff are very friendly and service is excellent. Really noticeable.

Food is also excellent. Really tasty. Highly recommend the pad Thai, one of the best I’ve had and those prawns were giant!

Absolutely fantastic! Have visited Careys manor a number of times over the years and a trip to the Zen Garden is a vital part of any trip there. The whole menu is fantastic, you can't go wrong really, but the Tamarind Duck might be my favourite dish from any restaurant in the world. Absolutely divine.

Oh man, we went here as part of the spa package and oh my god it was so good. We've got experience of Thai food and it was really delicious, generous portions too! The garden seats are lovely also. Tik in particular was a great and playful host. Sea bass start and duck dish are the one! Thank you all!

That was the best Thai Green Curry of my life, and I've had a few. The service was exceptional.

We visited here in January after my partner treated me to a spa afternoon at Senspa I’m the same location. The food was amazing and the chap that oversees the restaurant was very efficient and attentive. My only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 was despite my partner booking well before Christmas we had to wait to one side for10 minutes or so for our table which was a bit odd. But overall very nice.
