Mencap

After doing my final carboot today selling my recently deceased mum and brothers items raising money for causes close to their hearts. I had several decent items left so phoned charity shops in the area. Was told by a gentleman (in the broadest sense of the word) that the toys, clothes, lampshades (with wattage on) and books items would be taken. So I rolled up there with 2 trolley loads. Only to be told too much stuff. So I said can you take the shades and toys, which he had said he would. He picked a shade up looked at it and said they could not take anything, apart from Clothes, which luckily I had just given the clothes away.I walk with 2 sticks In Considerably pain and appreciate charity shops are over run with donations. That's why I rang and I can honestly say this man's attitude was disgusting and clearly is not in the right job. Loading and unloading all these things was totally unnecessary and caused me Conciderable pain and inconvenience. But I was always brought up to not trash things.
Luckily I made a further phone call to EACH on Aylsham Road and they were courteous and accommodating.
I will never donate or support Mencap again, all because of a rude man.
