A great range of furniture and in-store staff are super friendly and helpful. I've seen a couple of bad reviews saying 'my stuff wasn't collected' but I would say, given the large range of items always changing, and quite a quick turnover, that those must be the exception to the rule. Highly recommended.

Incredibly rubbish delivery people. They were too lazy to take the furniture out from the house. We bought some furniture from them couple of months ago and we would to donate them back for free. The delivery person has late more then 2 hours and on the top they was arrogant as hell. We would to return most of the things in the same condition how we purchased them but there were too lazy to take them for free. Rubbish, thats all what I can say.

[Edit from 1-2 stars]

Arranged a date for an afternoon collection of a donation, had taken the afternoon off work to facilitate, and nobody bothered showing up.

2 calls to the shop, one response to say they were running late, but no sms or call to make their apologies. Honestly shocking.

[Edit version: received a call from British Heart Foundation shop on 19 November, at 0915 (presumably in response to this feedback). The lady calling was polite, but referred to me by another name when asking about my experience and seeking to re-arrange delivery. While on the phone to the shop, the delivery drivers turned up a day late and unexpected to take my donation.

Still only a 2 star for the call back, but this was really an unprofessional service. Please consider donors who are taking time away from their working hours to support and at the very least have the curtesy to call back on the day if there are any problems.]

Genuinely surprised they are still operating given the nature of the feedback provided below. So disrespectful.

Have had no problems in-store as the staff are all lovely and very helpful. The collection/delivery staff have ruined it for me.

If you have booked a collection they will absolutely refuse any items that look even the slightest bit used. I have always made sure to clean down any pieces of furniture beforehand, yet they refused everything, saying "too used". Like other reviews have stated, you can tell as soon as they come in through the door that they are going to leave with nothing.

When I have had items delivered I gave thorough instructions to shop staff when purchasing on how to get to my home etc. but delivery drivers will be straight up rude about having to come to my property. I live 5 minutes down the road from the shop! They have been so unbelievably rude anytime I have had anything to do with them. It's a shame because the store sells some wonderful items but the my experience with collection/delivery has completely put me off.

I wouldn't even give this place 1 star. Showed photos in shop of our items if they wanted them. Absolutely they did. I booked it in on line and they rang to confirm collection date. A lovely large wooden display cabinet, sideboard, desk and filing cabinet. Excellent condition. A complete set. We stored it here for two weeks in our way really but put up with that as it was going to a good cause. The collectors turned up un an already full small sprinter type van and there was no way they could get it in even if van was empty. Phoned store and was told large van had been out of action for a week but nobody bothered to tell me. Asked if they could return with a bigger van but not for at least another two weeks. I will never buy there or offer goods there again.

AVOID! This charity have an appalling furniture collection service. Booked in a collection of some really good quality furniture including Duresta sofa and chairs, electric operated bed and beautiful sideboard. Collectors weren’t interested unless they were pristine and showroom condition and refused to take most of our items. Honestly there was nothing wrong with our items other than they were used! Beware if you are looking to donate your furniture and save yourself the hassle of dealing with these idiots. Complete waste of time.

Appalling service on the collection side; driver was rude, and gave the distinct impression he had already decided he didn't want to take the booked-in items the moment he walked in. A great pity for a charity that matters to us. That said, the service throughout from the office side was terrific, particularly from one gentleman (name not known, unfortunately, but very helpful).
