......A great place to find books or donate to, have had a couple of houses to clear of loads of books, always had helpful staff to help unload large boxes of books....

Incredibly rude volunteers. I went specifically to buy two expensive records I had seen earlier, but was followed around (at literally a distance of 2ft) like a thief. One volunteer announced in a stage whisper "He's Going". Yes I am. You lost £40 and a regular customer for the last 6 years.

Very rude staff, we’ve made two donations here and both times were made to feel unwelcome (despite donating quality items). The latest time we were all but shooed out of the shop. Totally understand it’s a busy time and we’re happy to take items away, but the attitude of the staff really let’s this place down.

This is a fantastic shop. The books are of high quality and very reasonably priced. We are due to take my daughters to see "The Wind in the Willows" and needed to find a book so that we can do some homework on it. The member of staff were extremely helpful and was very good in finding the book for us.

The layout of the shop given the small size is fantastically laid out for customers. There is a wide variety of books and everyone who is a keen book reader should really come here first before going to a bookshop.

The kids range was really fantastic and not only did I come out with "The Wind in the Willow" but 5 other children books which would have retailed for just over £30.00 for less than £10.00. Very pleased with this and will be back soon for more books. Thank You.

What a lovely shop! High quality stock (especially if you like history & literature) that’s always reasonably priced, so there’s regular stock change.

Also the staff are great, they seem to love books and the good cause their customers are supporting …whether you’re buying or donating (don’t understand the 1 star review from the ‘shunned’ book-giver 🤷‍♂️)

It’s always a great experience for me, and it even makes me look forward to visiting my dentist next door, which is my usual excuse to pop in for a browse! Keep up the good work everyone.

Always worth a visit, great selection of books. Along with seeing my friends, the Oxfam Bookshop is the one shop that I always look forward to checking out.
