I was absolutely outraged as I was trying to purchase a suede handbag which required intense dry cleaning and yet there would be no guarantee the dirt marks would come out. The bag was priced at £50 and I decided to risk it & get it and I was asked to pay £150 out of the blue!! despite price tags being at £50, only because the ladies working there did a research after putting a price on the bag. Completely unprofessional and misleading, terrible customer service and I'm angry mostly at the fact that I've spent few hours considering a purchase of the bag and made a special trip
Back to get it. I would strongly advise the staff working there to get some customer service and consumer rights skills as they presented none.

returning the person with the one star review, do not expect the staff to be okay with you when you go to an unattended donation bag that had just been dropped there without asking for a permission which my colleague informed you very nicely just for your own good for health and safety reasons! do you go to the chef in the restaurant and have your food out of his pan or do you wait for the staff to serve you ? it is just the same in a store. as far as you know, there might be a needle or something sharp in the bag. I suppose your reaction would also be another bad review on the shop instead of thinking what went wrong.

I am puzzled by some of the negative feedback I have seen on some comments here. As a frequent visitor to this store (I work nearby) I have only experienced fantastic customer service from all members of staff at this shop. We should remember that these good people give up their own time in support of those who are suffering and who are often closely affected by this terrible disease.

It's disappointing to read the below reviews particularly as this is a shop designed to raise money to help those less fortunate than us. By the looks of things, most people's only concern is the product they are buying as opposed to the cause and benefit of shopping in a CHARITY shop. The team here deserve praise for giving up their time and volunteering to make the world a better place.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER INTERACTION WITH SABINE! WOW. Sabine who seems a high strung charity manager was so unnecessarily rude. It is a charity shop...do not have attitudes and bad behaviours for no reason. SHAME.

Friendly and considerate staffs, lovely as-brand new items and pretty reasonable prices.
If you don't mind using second hand items, you must visit this place! :)
You might find treasure here.
Your joy helps Cancer Research!

Today I went to exchange a dress I have bought , I forgot a ticket but the dress has a tag, I showed all evidence a part of the ticket.(my bank describes, the date and the place and the amount), one of sales customers came, told me the price was this amount and your bank is another amount (funny she jumped in response without listening my request, I bought two items), she was unpleasant, cold , acted like a machine, and I asked where is the Manager, she came (same as a previous one). I told to them I didn’t want my money back , I just need an exchange , I will pay the difference if it requires.
But the manager didn’t make any efforts because she said I mistreated her colleague ( how professorial she is) the things are I used to be a regular customer and donator , and A big supporter of the cancer’s cause since of my member of my family passed away (and I explained to the Manager), but nothing.....
so even When I asked to her, I go back to my home , shall I leave my dress here quickly , she said “No keep with your dress with arrogant and cold tone😔my questions is do I deal with a machine.?This manager doesn’t know who are the regular customers (how care and professional she is😥), I have shopped at this shop since 2018, almost once a week. The Manager and one of her colleagues make me run away from this Cancer Research shop and make me believe it is not a charity but a machine house.
Before one guy helped me when I lost my ticket, because it can happen. I could negotiate with him.
Why didn’t she didn’t do the same?
When I narrated this story, she said if he is in big trouble now.
She defended her colleague who was unpleasant and put down her former colleague (so sad behaviour).
.The thing as well they don’t have a fitting room, it will ease things.
Oxfam which is next door their Manager is more pleasant and warm and has a fitting room
I go to the Cancer Research because I just want to contribute my part in memory of my love ones. Now I highly disappointed 😔
