One of the better branches of Oxfam - come here for an excellent selection of fiction, as well as vinyl and CDs. It's nearly always busy on a weekend, which is a good sign of the quality of the stuff on offer here.

One of the best books and music Oxfams I've ever been in; particularly good for recent coffee table books, barely-read literary classics and their vinyl selection. It's always busy at the weekend but there's plenty of space, including a child's reading area, and lots of flyers advertising events in the local community.

A large and well-stocked secondhand charity bookshop. Its size, and level and quality of stock, put it on a par with most professional secondhand bookshops. The window and table displays are well thought-out and interesting. The selection is especially strong on history, science and general fiction. There's a smaller range of CDs and vinyl too.

Good prices for the books vinyl and cd's brought loads of stuff out of there Friday afternoon. Start listening to the records hours later.I can't complain thumbs up for me good location up the road from audio gold and around the corner flashback records and the little record shop and in east Finchley Alan records you can't say you are not spoiled for choice for vinyl in surrounding areas.

Very good range of books especially the Travel section. Additionally a great selection of cards, records and Oxfam gifts. Volunteer staff are friendly and helpful.

This book store - like many others from Oxfam, are stocked with extremely varied and interesting works of literature.

The prices are very attractive and the staff are knowledgeable and helpful on every occasion I have browsed and purchased books or vinyl records.

Sadly, the concept (which is admirable) is not matched by the unacceptable fact that staff are unpaid and I think that is plain wrong.

If you consider that such organisations as Oxfam are led and supported higher up the workforce (management) by various administrators of one kind or other - to the tune of several thousands of pounds in remuneration to boot - then I see no reason why the frontline staff who provide an outstanding service to patrons should not be afforded a salary by equal measure.

You may wish to consider the sums of money or cash-like resources that Oxfam and other such organisations have under management at their disposal - which I think is worthy of thought.

In conclusion - the concept of Oxfam is wonderful but the frontline staff should never afforded a salary and that is what I want Oxfam management to address.

One of the only places in Crouch End that doesn't allow dogs inside, which is very bizarre considering nearly every other establishment in town, including restaurants, pubs, and green grocers, allows dogs. It's a used book store. Can't figure out the logic.

Great book shop. Books come in a variety of conditions and publications. Also very affordable - I buy paperbacks here for £2-3!
