Wow! I had always though Thailand would be amazing, but I couldn’t have know just how awesome it really is.
Feel Free Travel were just the best. Matt was so helpful, even before I left the UK, advising on flights, what to bring, even luggage.
When we arrived in Bangkok Matt was waiting to take us to the hotel, and even on the journey there he was So knowledgable about the city, and was genuinely taking time to find out exactly what we were hoping for from our trip.
The group was really good, a couple of people seemed a bit shy at first, but that didn’t last long, with Matt making sure everyone was having a great time. Matt was like one of us, he enjoyed everything we did just as much as the rest of us, but we knew he must have put so much time into organising everything as it all went perfectly.
I could write a book about everything we did, temples, getting blessed by a Buddhist monk, beaches, wildlife, boat trips, fantastic meals out, even better nights out, amazing view points (camera’s ready), meeting the locals, floating bungalows, snorkelling with sharks!!!, the 9 day tour was so amazing I would have loved to have the time to do the 15 days, and I was so jealous of the rest of the guys who were going off to Chiang Mai when I had to go back home.
I made friends for life on this tour, it was an experience I will never forget.
We normally joke about it being good to get back home, not this time. I can’t wait to book another trip. Matt told us about their Sri Lanka tour & that they were also starting a Vietnam tour this summer, so that’s my next two holidays sorted !

If you have never been on a tour before like me this should be your first one! Feel Free is not just about showing you places it truly makes you feel free just like you are travelling with your friends. There wasn't a day that I didn't like. I absolutely loved the train ride from Kandy to Ella, we took lots of photos of each other and enjoyed spectacular views. Adam made sure we all had fun despite not always feeling 100% or sick. Couple of surprises on the tour, who would guess we would see the president of Sri Lanka in Kandy, or been upgraded to a sea view suite in hotel in Weligama. Only gets better! the food... you will try some of the best meals in your life and local experiences that will make your heart warm. I loved our little bus, endless laughs, the music and the whole atmosphere. At the end of the tour we were just like one big family, caring for each other and planning to see each other again. Going to miss our tea parties, Ian's jokes and coffee talks :-) Can't recommend enough!

I can easily say that this was the best month of my entire life! 🇱🇰🇹🇭
I could not possibly recommend the Thailand 15 days and the Sri Lanka 12 days tours more if I tried, and I will struggle to put into words how amazing this tour company is and how gorgeous these countries truly are!!
From the beginning, during the booking process, I knew this company valued a personal approach as they do not choice to advertise through any other websites and deal with all enquires themselves! During my booking process I had many questions and Adam answered them instantly (even over the Christmas period) and was so helpful along the way. Even dealing with many other people, like myself, he remembered me when I went to Thailand in February! I feel extremely grateful as I was able to meet the whole team while I was there and meet the whole FeelFreeFamily itself, and they truly are all the most incredible individuals! Mat has been a tour guide for years and has such a natural gift and radiates excitement in everything he does! I was fortunate enough to spend nearly my entire month with Hollie who was my tour guide in Sri Lanka (and joined some of the Thailand trip), she will instantly become your best friend and is the bubbliest person with such a kind heart. Dion has recently joined the company and ran my Thailand tour and is a natural! How someone can have so much energy constantly baffles me, and everyone in a room will undoubtedly be draw towards him with his great dance moves and approachable demeanour! I also met Lizzy briefly but she was so smiley and so welcoming! During my trip in Thailand I had a few days to myself where the tour guides helped me plan and book my days out so I got the most out of Bangkok.
For the actual tour, it is perfected so that you experience the whole of Thailand and Sri Lanka. This includes the cultural sides of the countries and are achieved by the local guides that accompany us along the way and the home stays we visit. My favourite day by far in Thailand was the food at the home stay on day 5 and the walk up Tiger Cave Temple later that day for the most insane sunset view! Not to mention that morning we woke up in floating bungalows on Khan Sok river. Of course, the once in a lifetime experience of feeding elephants is also up there as well as Pai’s incredible street food! The tour in Thailand is honestly incredible, with a perfect balance of relaxation, adventure, culture and partying!!
For the Sri Lanka tour, I knew very little about the country prior to my arrival and I was truly not disappointed! From the incredible hikes in Ella and hike up Sigiriya Rock in the north to the gorgeous beaches in the south, with the opportunity to learn to surf and potentially try yoga, this country honestly has it all! Not only are the views incredible but the food is indescribable and the local people are truly so kind. What I loved about Sri Lanka is how small the country is, which allows you to stay on the same coach the whole way round and stay accompanied by Ian (the local guide) the entire time. You truly become a little family, from your fellow solo travellers all the way to the bus driver. Not to mention Ian is the funniest person you will ever meet!
What I can not emphasis enough about this tour company is that you truly feel like a family by the end of it, and what sets them apart from anyone else! I truly made friends for life on these trips and cannot wait to come back on more FeelFree travel tours! 💛🌏

I have traveled extensively solo, and had never taken a group tour before, so I was skeptical that I would enjoy it, but I had an awesome time, I thought the tour had a good mix of culture, adventure and relaxing time. I particularly enjoyed the hiking. The tour guides were awesome, and ran the tour very efficiently and effectively. I would recommend this tour company for future trips. Thank you!

15 day Thailand trip

Excellent experience throughout. Each activity were carefully selected. The entire tour felt like a friend showing me the things she had done and loved in Thailand. That being said, the whole trip was professionally organised with seamless transitions.

The trip design is perfect for someone who’s not used to solo travelling in Asia or feel a little intimidated by the bustling environment of SEA. If you are a seasoned solo backpacker, this may feel a tiny bit touristy to you but I’d say at least 40% of the tour I would not have been able to do solo given the cost and logistics involved.

Brilliant week with brilliant people in the most beautiful place! Jamie and Ash guided us through Thailand with their extensive knowledge and connections with the locals, which meant that we had experiences that we probably wouldn't have had doing the trip without the support of FFT. There was a genuine feeling within the group of being a little travel family which helped us to make the best memories! The accommodation was brilliant at each stop and all of the excursions were super authentic and offered lots of new experiences.
In addition, the communications from the team prior to the trip were excellent! Any queries were always responded to quickly and we were made to feel like valued individuals first and foremost, which makes FFT such a special company to be involved with!

I booked onto Feel Free’s 12 day Sri Lanka tour in January to start off my 1 month trip round Sri Lanka, and what an incredible experience I had.

From day 1 the group (most of who were solo travellers) felt like a family and I soon discovered this was such an efficient way to travel, ticking off all the sights I had on my list.

The itinerary was perfect and included some amazing surprise activities which really allowed us connect with Sri Lanka and the locals. Highlights included sunrise safari, the epic Kandy - Ella train ride, seeing Sigiriya and Little Adam’s Peak.

Accommodation went above and beyond expectations, the food was awesome and overall I found the trip amazing value for money. Adam was really clued up, had great advice throughout the trip and recommended me hostels and restaurants for my onwards travel. Big shout out to our local guide, Ian, who was always keen to answer our questions and get involved with the group.

If you want to see Sri Lanka’s highlights with an awesome new group of friends, great tour guides and experience all of this in a comfortable air conditioned bus and stay in beautiful accommodation, this trip is for you!!

After looking for a reputable company that helps with solo travel planning/holidays I decided on Feel Free Travel purely based on their amazing reviews and there incredible offering via the website. I honestly couldn’t of been happier and I’m over the moon I made that choice. On the tour of Thailand I was grouped with a good mix of girls and guys and I made some friends for life, in our group the ages ranged from 23-35 and everyone got on so well and by the end we were just 1 big family!

The Sri Lanka trip was my favourite out of the 3 just because I really enjoyed the local experiences there and the variety in things to do each day (don’t get me wrong, Thailand and Vietnam were pretty incredible also haha). The accommodation we stayed in was immaculate and far better than anything I had ever imagined on a backpacker tour, we had a perfect mix of everything to be honest, we saw so so much and did everything with such ease and comfort.

The guides were all fantastic from start to finish, they were friendly, knowledgeable and always very approachable which made them a joy to be around! I’ve honestly never experienced such exceptional customer service from the moment I contacted them to the end of all 3 of the tours I did with them (Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam)

I was looking for another solo adventure to Australia next year and I'll definitely be going with Feel Free Travel again! I couldn't speak any more highly than I already do about this incredible company of passionate individuals. STOP READING THIS REVIEW AND JUST BOOK THAT TRIP… YOU CAN THANK ME LATER!
